OK, so I know you're thinking "do I really need to spend $350+ on a blender?" Well if it was just an ordinary blender, I'd agree. But, this is no ordinary blender. This is a blender/food processor/spice chopper/ice chopper/smoothy maker etc.. all in one. It grinds seeds and grains into flour, literally in seconds. I buy whole wheat berries and throw them into the' Turboblend' for a few seconds until it turns into a flour then add a little olive oil and water and make delicious flat breads on the stove.(bread that is actually good for you!) When you blend raisins or apples or anything for that matter, it blends to such a smooth consistency that there are no chunks or pieces left. Of course if you want it left chunky just blend it for less time. Anyway, this is a great machine and by the way, clean up is a breeze. Stop thinking about it and just buy it!

For many years, I have used a blender to make milkshakes. This is not the easiest way, so I decided to buy a unit similar to ones found in ice cream shops. I picked this unit because of the chrome finish--easier to keep clean. I am VERY happy with this item. I keep it on my kitchen counter ready to use. SO easy--just add ice cream, milk, flavoring and mix. The turn top for speed control is easy to use. It blends the ingredients quickly and easily. The container is easy to handle--I just wish the container held a little more. What a great buy!

Bought this product because of its reasonable price and retro look. Pop uses it every time the grands come for dinner... its an after dinner tradition to watch Pop make milkshakes the old fashioned way. I priced other similar products... this one was the best priced with the right look. Makes great shakes. Looks nice on my counter tucked in a corner waiting for the next family event! Cleans easily. Doesn't take up much space.

Don't ever buy reconditioned items from this company 1 out of 5 stars.

I bought a reconditioned version of this blender from another online site. It turned out I didn't need to use the blender for most of the summer and the warranty period expired on the reconditioned product. Of course right after that, I had to use the blender. It worked ok for a bit but soon pretty much became worthless. When it did work, it did a poor job of mixing the stuff I put into the blender and the food processor wasn't all that great either. Avoid Cuisinart.

I loved this when I purchased it, then I noticed it did not do a perfect job, then it would take a while to get going, then it smoked and died. Not worth it.

My mother-in-law and I both had this blender. Hers broke in a couple of months. I was lucky that mine lasted a couple of years. It is a great blender for crushing ice for smoothies/icees, etc., however it has a flaw that the piece that the pitcher sits on when it spins is made out of plastic. It eventually cracks from the heat/friction produced. I bought the Oster Beehive blender to replace it, and it has a metal piece beneath it and I have had it for a few years now with no problem. I am even happier with the Oster Beehive blender, as it is a much better quality blender which will last a lot longer than the Cuisinart one (it was also cheaper), and it crushes ice exactly as good if not better than the Cuisinart blender.

My husband and I have used this blender for almost five years and it does a great job for us. It is heavy, base and glass, but I feel this is a good thing because it doesn't slide around on the counter. We use it for making margaritas, nutritious shakes & smoothies, etc. It is excellent for crushing ice. The opening in the top of the lid makes it easy to add ice cubes (fruit, etc.) during the process. The blender performs great.

The best thing I like about it ... it comes completely apart and can be cleaned in the dishwasher. Beware, if you have ceramic tile flooring in your kitchen (as I do) and you drop any parts, it breaks (plastic or not). I dropped the little plastic cup that fits on the top of the lid and it chipped and cracked. No problem, I went to the Cuisinart website and ordered another one (not expensive). I also bought an extra gasket for the blade.

If I could change anything about it, I would make a bigger lip on the pouring jar. It does leak a bit when pouring into glasses, but I've found that flaw in every blender I've owned (quite a few). To prevent any other leaks, make sure the bottom plastic piece is securely fastened with the gasket and blade in place.

We love it and wouldn't trade it for another one. Our motto: If it's not broken, don't fix it. Good luck!

I was disappointed when this mostly plastic appliance arrived. I was trying to replace a Kitchen Aid blender, that leaks all over the place.
There was something loose rolling around inside the base, so I decided that was an ominous sign of future problems, so I sent it back.
I don't understand why there are so many different models of this blender. My advice is to buy the original Waring, not the "PRO", or Classic. In my mind the "Classic" was never "plastic".

So when it came to replace the old blender I decided to purchase another as close to the old blender as possible...and it makes the best smoothies ever. ***Secret to an awesome smoothie is to freeze all the fruit...especially the bananas***

This is a great replacement for broken blenders witch is rarely seen on kitchen aid blenders. My KitchenAid coupling broke so i bought the coupling and the cutter blader just to get new parts on both of this items, the installation was easy, and now my KitchenAid blender works like new!

The cutter assembly as stated does not fit the model they said it would. Had to return at my expense. They stated I would have to buy a new blender because they can't get the correct part. Not happy!!!!!

The blade is a poor design and has a hard time making margaritas. The coupler between the motor and the blades has shredded twice now, leaving parties hanging. Shoot the product manager, this is a poor excuse for a $150 blender.

It will last for 10 hours of use if you're lucky. Rubber gear on top will brake, but not hard to replace. Problem is the control board that goes bad and nothing but blinking lights when you turn it on. See the reviews for the white version of same blender for the same set of problems. Stay away from this one.

I purchased two of these blender a long time ago from Amazon and another one from the NAVY Exchange when I started my small catering business. I only used one for two months when the rubber that propells the blade started chipping off. Called KitchenAid and they gave me a company name that charged about $35 to replace the blade. Needless to say that the same thing happend to the other two and now I am looking for a cheap blender that is durable to use. KitchenAid blender is not living up to its brand name indeed.
