Seems like it would be sturdy but it broke the first week making Margaritas for Mother's Day. I had to returned it and got another one and the LCD didnt work on the panel.

I give up, too much to pay for so many issues!

I was looking for just this combinaton but this product is well below what I am used to in Cuisinart's products. The "stainless steel" item is actually grey PLASTIC at the all important base; there is only a high and low button to control speed; the food processor leaks liquids and can only be used half-full. The power does not seem to coincide with rating and is barely sufficient to deal with most tasks. The blender/processor combination is a great idea but this is an inferior product that is VERY disappointing. Since you cannot control the speed expect food and liguids to fly as the top is not fully sealed.

I WAS thrilled with this blender. It has amazing power and is cool and retro looking. Would be appealing to anyone who might have a Francis Francis expresso machine. BUT I put jar in DW ( a Bosch )and the inside blade coating peeled off into my food. YUCK. The literature says not to place in DW but the base blades were too hard to twist off so i washed it. Now its distasteful with the metal shavings. I cannot find a way to get a replacement jar and blades. Other than that it was amazing.

The black coupler will break and you'll need to get that part replaced. It's easy to replace, but you have to find the part. I suggest buying a few of these parts if you already have this blender. If you are thinking about purchasing this blender, don't. It's not that powerful, parts are expensive, things tend to break easily...

A great blender for a while with weekly use...but it wasn't long before a tooth broke off the black coupler that drives the blade. Soon after, another tooth broke off and now it doesn't spin the blade properly. A weak link in a blender that is otherwise very good. I do not recommend as this part should have been made stronger.

Rubber coupling failed after one-year 1 out of 5 stars.

I should have listened to the other one-star reviews. Yep, the rubber coupling began to break off (the rubber teeth on the base of the blender that the top rests on--the part the turns the blades in the top). The rest of the blender is in great condition. Very sad. We'll be buying a different blender. (We use this for making frozen fruit smoothies 5-6 days per week.) Poor internal design.

This blender is great when its working! the coupler(the rubber thing which spins the blade) started to wear out and now its completely torn and can't run the blades!

I called the CS and they say I need to order from a service center which is 100miles away from where I live...

My oster blender which I paid $15 is working from 9 years! but this one broke with in 2yrs.

This blender should have been called the "Mush Master." I don't believe a company could sell something that is worse at its purpose then Black and Decker did with this blender. It does a terrible job of blending - baby food would even be too much for it. The makers of this product obviously think people will look at the aesthetics and brand name and just assume this is a quality product. Don't be fooled, beauty is not skin deep!

I thought this blender because the Box said it could crush ice but it hardly does. The ice is chunky and ruins the smoothie. It does get the job done with fruit so if you don't need to crush ice then its not bad for the price. Id say spend another 30 bucks more to get a better blender.

I used to have the most popular small blender(you probably know what one I am talking about (it is a "seen on TV" product) Anyway after that one wore out after about 6 months I tried this one. I LOVE IT!! The cups are much better quality and you can pulse it or turn it off and on on the unit itself, which I like. LOVE IT!!!

I like the fact that it included diff sized containers, and 2 of those were tumblers with handles to boot. I have read reviews where people have burned out their motors, and I will have to say that, yes, it's possible, but only if you didn't follow the directions. The manual indicated a recommended time of usage so you should be patient, expect to shake things up once in a while between blends, and this unit should last you at least a year :D I think some people have the wrong expectation that you can just turn on the switch and leave the unit alone to do it's thang. Gee, if that was the case, I'd let my car drive me on auto pilot.
