Works great. I love that you just dump everything in and push start. I was surprised how quiet it is when mixing. The recipes it comes with have been great to have. The only negative I have experienced is that the bread isn't always the shape. Sometimes one side of the top is flatter than the other.

One two three. Put your ingredents in and press the the buttons. You do need to review the instructions carefully. What I will love about my new Zojirushi, when summer rolls around, I will not have a hot oven baking bread. I love this bread machine.

The Zo BBCC-X20 is my first bread machine and It was purchased November 2008 from Amazon & I used it infrequently It was working fine, producing fine loaves of various recipes until a recent loaf of rye bread appeared as a pile of inedible lumps...i thought perhaps it was the rye flour so i tried a whole wheat loaf....not much better although it stayed together in a dense mass. i called Zojirushi and I e'mailed them photos i had taken of these loaves....a customer service rep phoned me and said that the drive belts need replacement. During our phone conversation, the Zo Rep had me run a test on the machine to verify that there was no other problem and then she showed the photos to a tech who ascertained the need for replacement belts.
I am disappointed in the short life of this hardly used machine before a repair is needed. I live upstate NY and the nearest service center to me is in Long Island (about 150 mi away. Zojirushi will sell me the 2 belts but will not provide a parts breakdown for do-it-yourself repair. I will not buy another Zojirushi product after this experience. I am very disappointed with this product that in all respects is well built but has a weak link to it. I should mention that i also own a Zojirushi rice maker that has worked well for years.

I bake bread almost twice a day. Usually one whole grain and one white per day. I used to go through a bread machine in 9 months..year at the most. I've had this one for over 6 years and I LOVE it! I wore the bread pan out and have had to replace it, but other than that it's been my kitchen buddy! It's so easy to use my son and husband can operate it. If you are a serious bread maker, don't even get a Breadman or the ilk. They are for the holiday bread maker. This Panasonic will definitely answer all your needs.

This is a great bread machine. It makes perfect loaves every time. I had the earlier model of this bread machine for over 15 years and it never fails (except when you forget to put in the yeast!).

Love it! For the record, I only make pizza dough. I retired a Breadman and first replaced it with a Cuisinart. Hated the Cuisinart and returned it (flimsy pan constantly popped out of place). I love the Panasonic. The unit seems to be built really well and the sturdy pan stays in place.

I use my own recipe for pizza dough because I didn't like the one in their cookbook and it works perfectly. It's actually the best dough I've made with this same recipe. I don't know if it's the timed release of yeast or the way it kneads but the dough has been noticeably better with this machine. I highly recommend it.

I have had this breadmaker for about a month now, and I've used it at least 6-7 times. I've made different types of bread, and they all come out nice and tasty. I would recommend this to anyone who's looking for ease of making bread. The display is easy to read and it tells you where you are in the process. The recipes are easy to follow, and it looks like a real loaf of bread.

When fruit is in season, I will use the breadmaker to make jam to go with the great bread!

I specifically purchased this machine as it has the double paddles to mix and knead better, and it does. I have never found unmixed ingredients in the corners of the baking pan.

Searched and read reviews, Amazon had the best price and this is a great product. Has many options and if you follow the directions, you can make the best bread, rolls, etc in this bad boy.

While reviewing, one person commented the lid hinge was not made like a army tank lid, but if a person is careful and doesn't abuse products, they are pretty good. Hey, almost everything made today is plastic, it is just the world we live it. Want it made of heavy metal, save your bucks and only buy commercial grade.

With my new bread maker and stand mixer both from Westbend, I am a happy camper!

First time use showed that the viewing window was not secured. It slipped enough to allow the heat to escape during baking, making a loaf that did not
brown on the top.
However, the Breadman was immediately replaced with one that works well, though the "Fast Bake"(one-hour)program doesn't brown the top crust well. Recommend use of the longer baking periods.

I bought this from Amazon just before Thanksgiving when it was $19 more + tax, and now like others I never buy store bought bread anymore. I've made bagels, english muffins, pizza dough, hotdog buns, and cinnamon rolls. My favorite bread is based off the pumpernickel bread using those liquids, salt and sugar, add shredded carrots, flax meal, scissor cut fresh rosemary and sage, a cup each of white, ww, and dark rye (I like Bob's Red Mill white/ ww flour best), at the beeps add seed mixture (pumpkin sesame, sunflower, poppy), walnuts and raisins optional. I have never made anything uneatable, except when the power went out just after the baking cycle started. Since I never measure anything well, I do sometimes add flour/water during the first kneed cycle and I use a spoon or my hand to get the corners or sides. It's true the tops are often flat, but that doesn't bother me since it taste and feels so good in my stomach compared to store bought. I leave the machine on the counter, it takes a small amount of space, I'm glad the numbers and directions are not glaring at me, though I do put on my reading gasses when I set the cycle. If a crust is too hard when it gets taken out of the bake cycle put a produce bag around the sides and bottom and in five minutes it's perfect. Every time I make something, and I do put anything I can think of in the bread (apples, olives, oat bran, sprouted wheat ...) I'm amazed that it turns out so well, and what I don't use in a day, gets sliced and put in the freezer.

This is my first bread machine. After a couple of weeks looking at reviews and prices, I decided this would be the one. Its ALOT easier to use than I thought. I was dying to try it out so I used the ExpressBake Setting, which takes 58 minutes to make a loaf of bread. I didnt exactly follow the recipe that came with the machine. I was warned about this as they use too much yeast in a lot of them and there are some other errors so I just didnt bother. In the book there is an ExpressBake Traditional Style White Bread 1.5 lb recipe. I kinda copied this one. I didnt use bread machine flour because I didnt have it on hand so I used 60 % whole wheat and 40% white flour, 2 TBSP of active dry yeast (Your supposed to use bread machine yeast, but I didnt have this on hand either) and I added 2 TBSP vital wheat gluten. OMG! Wonderful loaf of bread like from the bakery! It was a little more brown on the bottom (dont know if its supposed to be like that) but really the tast was great! Crust wasnt too hard or anything like that and was super moist. The thing I would try differently is go out and get myself a bread machine yeast.

This is one of the best purchases I have made. I cant wait to try out recipes for whole wheat, low carb etc. . . I would TOTALLY recommend this to anyone.

I got this bread machine new for Christmas a year ago. From the get go, it didn't seem to have much kneading power, but it seemed to work well enough to make bread. So, I kept it. Now, a year later, it has died and won't work at all. It probably did have something wrong from the beginning.

Stopped working right after a few uses. Does not brown properly and the finished loaf is almost half the size it should be. Tried several different flours, including special bread flour, and still no success.

We absolutely love our Oster ExpressBake Breadmaker. We live up in Maine and after 7 years of stinky, soggy, undercooked, store bought bread, we decided there had to be a better way ! I used to make bread years ago but just can't handle the kneading anymore, so this machine is a God-send.

It's compact in size, easy to use, loaded with features and makes the BEST bread. Rectangular loaf pan lets you get a loaf of bread that actually looks like a "loaf" not a cylinder.

The dough cycle is great for making all kinds of rolls, shaped breads (i.e., Italian, French, etc.), pizza, pasta dough, etc.

It says you can also make jams and preserves but this is a feature I doubt I will ever use.

I definitely would recommend to even the most inexperienced baker. The insturction book has some nice recipes in it but if you search the internet for "bread machine recipes" you'll find a zillion. Can't wait to make my next loaf !

I have never owned a bread machine so I wanted to make sure I picked the right one. After reading reviews and my experience with the Zojirushi brand (rice cooker), I decided to take the plunge. I watched the VHS tape that came with the breadmaker just to make sure I did not start with a flop. My first loaf was a beauty. I was so proud of myself! I am VERY HAPPY with my purchase. It is the perfect size for my husband and I. So easy to use and clean up. I could not ask for more. No more store bought bread for us. Very excited to try some variations.

I have owned the Cuisinart Convection Bread Maker CBK-200 for about two years and make bread at least two or three times a week with it. I have tried just about all the breads in the very good accompanying recipe book (except the gluten-free and low carb) and have never had a failure. I've made many breads in the Bread Machine Magic series. The bread is wonderful, easy to prepare and delicious. I like it so much I bought one for my daughter who is just as pleased with it. Her neighbor, after seeing how easy it is to make fresh bread in it, bought one also and now the two of them exchange recipes and samples. We all make our own pizza dough at least once a week.

I think that the reviewers who had problems with it probably received (and should exchange) defective machines. Apparently Cuisinart has (or had) quality control problems. My first machine simply didn't work and I exchanged it a few days later for the one that now works constantly and perfectly. The other thing that is sometimes overlooked is the right proportions between the flour and liquid. You have to check the dough during the first ten minutes and make sure it is not too wet or too dry. After a few loaves, you get a feel for it...and by touching the dough can sense that it is right, not dry, not wet, just soft and very slightly sticky. I have used the machine so much that I am about to replace the pan and paddle, which are pretty worn, and the parts are available online at the Cuisinart site, less than $25 for both. If I were to improve the product, I would ask that the warning sounds be louder. I like to remove the paddle before the baking cycle, but often miss the opportunity because you can't hear the sounds unless you are near the machine. That is the only reason I don't give it five stars!

Bought this last year and tried about 5-6 recipes several times, at different loaf sizes, using recipes that came with the machine as well as out of reliable cookbooks. No luck. Every loaf collapsed and baked into a dense, inedible mound of dryness. Tried to return it, but had passed the Amazon return time. Cuisinart was not particularly helpful--made us return and try another machine twice even though I explained that I thought the issue had to do with the rise times programmed as part of the equipment, not the product itself. Fortunately, since we live in California, the shipping back and forth costs were paid by the company (CA law). Finally, after the third return, they gave us credit, which we ended up using on a different product. That nonsense took a year and many phone calls to negotiate! As a longtime Cuisinart customer, I found their customer service lacking in quality. Since then, I have started baking by hand, using a wet dough recipe from the PBS show America's Test Kitchen. Also considering trying the cookbook, _Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day_--as making bread is relatively easy--but the timing is the hard part--while adapting some "high elevation" tweaking to the recipes (didn't grow up baking at high elevations so that has been a learning curve). The low star rating is for the issues we faced with Cuisinart in returning the product, which does not adapt to high elevation climates. I wish Cuisinart would address this issue by building better time options into the machine design.
