This is a delicious product.I have made roasted barley tea from scratch.This is much easier and same delicious taste.I will buy this product again.Nice packaging and large quantity.

The idea of boiling grain to make a tea never occurred to me. Surprisingly in Seoul, many restaurants serve barley tea, called bori-cha as their standard free beverage. Most of my Korean colleagues love it. It is a kind of cultural icon. Growing up with Honey nut Cheerios, I assumed that barley needs honey, so I added honey to my barley tea and it is to die for. My Korean colleagues consider this sacrilege, but I still recommend it.
Barley tea is also popular in Japan and Ecuador. Apparently, we are behind in the discovery of this wonderful tea.

The taste of barley tea is a bit like regular tea, say Lipton, but softer. Most importantly for me, this tea is healthy and natural. I don't drink coffee, black or green tea for health and personal reasons. Tea made from barley is healthy, refreshing and enjoyable. You must try some.

"Mugicha" or roasted barley tea is a traditional drink that has been a favorite for centuries in the Asian. Naturally caffeine-free, its mellow, soothing flavor can be enjoyed by everyone at any time of day. Served chilled in summer, it is delightfully cooling and refreshing. In winter, hot Mugicha is both warming and relaxing. To prepare warm Mugicha: Boil water pour over tea bag and steep for 15-25 minutes. To prepare iced Mugicha: pour iced water over tea bag in a pitch and shake. Or add 2 tea bags to 1-1.5 liter cold water and leave in the refrigerator overnight. Due to the barley content, it is normal to have some residue in the tea.

I like dark-roasted, full-flavor coffee. I ground my beans and used a Braun coffee maker with a mesh filter for many years. But for the past six months I have been using a Philips Senseo to make my coffee, and Timothy's Parisian Nights is my favorite flavor. I have tried dark roast coffees from several makers and this one is hands down the best. However, the pods are not well made -- I have never had a box (25 pods per box) that has not had at least one defective pod, and it's usually two per box. And the pods need to be wetted a bit in order for the Senseo to handle them (I don't know about other coffee makers). But, in the final analysis, the inconvenience is worth because the coffee is rich and delicious.

i've burned through about 40 of these pods now and had no problems with the senseo at all. i use the single pod holder, and brew a double cup. admittedly it is a tight fit, but my unit has never leaked or burst open or anything. perhaps there is some variance in the senseos themselves... i'm flabbergasted by all of the other reviews that say to use the double pod holder--that would not work at all with mine!

the coffee itself is pretty good. i've found better tasting pods out there, but for the price these are hard to beat, especially when a single pod gives you the double cup! (the 8 oz cup)

EDIT: The Parisian Nights work great in my senseo, but the other variety i tried--"Rainforest Espresso"--is more temperamental. they seem a little puffier. Even though i like the rainforest flavor a bit more, i'd recommending sticking with this variety if you have a senseo.

Having tried Senseo pods, Millstone, etc. I was surprised that good old Folgers is just as good and in some cases better than Senseo's newer flavors. While made for the Home Cafe these fit Senseo coffee makers and give you a good cup for a lot less than the more upscale brands.

We ordered Folgers and an expensive gourmet brand and we found both to taste delicious, full bodied and aromatic. For this flavor we'll stick to Folgers.

At my local market this was not cheaper than Senseo, but I wanted to try it. I am VERY happy with it. This is a really good coffee and I would highly recommend it! I can use one pod per mug.

I've always loved Folgers coffee, but had been using the Senseo pods for my Senseo machine. Tried the Folgers pods, and the flavor is much better. Smooth and rich--I'll be using these from now on. Wish they were part of Subscribe and Save though!

I used to use Starbucks pods, but I began to feel bad about the 4-5 little non-recyclable wrappers I was throwing away every single day of the year. Illy was a great compromise for me! The coffee is delicious and the pods are not individually wrapped. Frankly the argument about needing all the fussy little packaging for freshness doesn't make much sense me. When I used loose ground espresso, I stored it all in one sealed container and it was fine. Every shot wasn't individually stored. With Illy, there are only 18 pods in a tin, so I go through them pretty quickly anyway. I've never noticed a difference between the flavor of the first pod vs. the last pod in the tin.

Coffee is just as good as other Fair Trade coffees that I buy. I have a One:One pod maker and these fit in them just fine. I do like my coffee a little on the strong side and can use the pod to make a very big cup of coffee before tossing. I would recommend this product.

This coffee has a great flavor. I use these pods in my Senseo brewer. They are a bit larger than the Senseo pods, but I have been able to make them work.

I have a $400 Briel Espresso machine and have tried Caffe D'arte, Espresione, Illy, Starbucks, Espresso Pod Sampler, and the Kona Espresso Pods. The Caffe D'arte in my opinion are best in value and taste when it comes to everyday espresso. I typically drink two to three cups a day. They are the cheapest per pod, of the ones I tried, with consistant taste and crema. However, for ultimate home espresso or if budget is not a concern I would recommend the Kona Espresso Pods. They are the most expensive per pod but in my opinion, the best by far. All pods mentioned however, are very good and vary in price.

All pods mentioned are E.S.E. pods (easy serving espresso). Ensure that your machine is an E.S.E. pod system for these to work. There are some espresso machines that have their own pod size system.

I am pretty picky about my coffee and found these to be right on the mark. I have tried several brands and find the flavor to be excellent - and my machine (Krups) likes it (not true with all other brands). Do not be surprised when the box comes (it is large...).

Very good low caffeine oolong tea. It has a great tase and its easy going down. Packaging was excellent with air-sealed foil wrap inside, insuring the freshest possible tea.

I love ESE pods. I know some coffee snobs disagree, but I'll take 90% of the taste for 10% of the work any day. As for pods, I've had Starbucks, Illy, and Espressione Arabica. I like the Espressione the best. I lived in Italy for 3 years and hit the coffee bars daily - I know what I like in espresso. The Starbucks was a bit too rough, too American tasting. Suprisingly, though, the Starbucks pods tasted just like an espresso at one of their stores. Very consistent. The Illy is too smooth. It goes well with food, and after dinner, but I tend to take my espresso at breakfast, and prefer a bold, smooth taste. The Espressione Arabica achieves just that. I'll be buying it again for my every day use.

This is great espresso at an unbelievable price. I used to own a espresso cart and now that I am stuck to a home brewer this is a great pod at a great price. Amazon sells this far cheaper than anyone else. Arrived in two days which makes them the fastest too. Thanks
