These are the only coffee filters we use, but the #6 Melitta coffee filters - Natural - are difficult to find in stores. This is our second order through Amazon -- fast delivery and great price!

The No. 6 size coffee filter can be very difficult to find; the No. 4 size is much more common. I was pleased to discover the large selection of coffe filters through Amazon, including my size, No.6, in brown unbleached paper. Melitta is also a reliable brand. The quantity avaiable (40/package x 12 packages = 480 filters) will last for years, but the price is good. The eligibility for free 2 day shipping under the annual plan was a bonus.

These natural brown filters are far superior and much healthier than the bleached traditional "white" filters. The 40-count, pack of 12 price can't be beat!! I am thoroughly happy with the filters and I'm a happy Amazon customer. I hope they continue to offer these hard to find no. 6 natural filters in the future!

Despite indications on the Hamilton Beach web site that this filter would work as a replacement, this model is too small. A call to Hamilton Beach resulted in us being informed that there is no filter to fit the Brewstation Deluxe.

The filter that I ordered was specifically for the Hamilton Beech high end coffee maker that I owned. It did not fit the coffee maker when it arrivved. I bought a new coffee maker and have the filter out in my garage...maybe I can filter paint with it or something.

I have owned a few of these over the years, and frankly, they are overhyped. The best thing that can be said of them is that they are much easier to deal with than paper filters - rinse them out, and you're done. I have yet to see one that isn't bent up before it's even taken out of the package, and they are damaged easily. I have to assume that the reason they cost more than twice as much as other similar filters is the gold plating. They let far more sediment through than they should for the price, otherwise - about on par with the cheapie knockoffs. I don't mind the sludge as much as many people, but for the amount that ends up in my cup, I'd rather have french press coffee. That said, I'll probably stick with them, if only for the convenience factor described earlier.

We purchased this filter after owning a previous metal filter (different brand) that lasted for over 5 years. This filter developed cracks in the metal fabric within a few months and it became almost unusable after about 5 months. Also found that the plastic extender ring did not fit snugly and often fell off. The distributor says that the filter is very sensitive, and the cracks are from tapping the filter against the lid of the garbage can to get the grounds out. Since that's the only way to remove wet grounds without washing them all down the drain, this filter is clearly too sensitive for me. Anyone who uses the tap technique should not purchase this item.

I use the Natural Brown, 2 cup Melitta filter paper and a Melitta cone to make the best coffee this side of anywhere. Of course, it is necessary to use the best coffee, and that can only be found at Peet's. The coffee must be ground very fine, and since I like strong coffee, I use two scoops to make one cup.
OK, here's the rest of the drill: First insert the filter paper in the cone, position it over the cup and fill with hot water. The hot water rinses the filter and preheats the cup. Next, add two scoops (or one and a half if you like your coffee weaker)and lightly tamp it down to pack it but do not tear the filter. Pour the hot water out of the cup. Replace the filter and coffee over the cup and add a small amount of hot water, wetting the grounds. DO NOT USE BOILING HOT WATER! Boiling hot water dissolves acids and makes the coffee bitter. The water temperature should be about 180 to 190 Fahrenheidt. After the first bit of water had drained into the cup, add more water.
Even if you have been used to adding sugar to your coffee, please try it without. There will be no bitterness and in fact, you can make the coffee stronger than you ever imagined and there'll be no bitterness.

Everyone is right of course, these are the best filters to use in your bunn. But the cost here, surprisingly, is three times the price at Wal-Mart at only $1.00 per box. Been buying them there for years. Sorry Amazon, you usually have the best price on everything and I always check here before I buy ANYTHING, but this time you're outdone.

If you have a Bunn coffee brewer, you have to use these filters. Shorter 'standard' filters that you get in the supermarket won't handle the "fast extraction" process of the Bunn brewers. They overflow, and grounds get into the pot. What's the point to a superb coffee-brewer if you're going to mess up the quality of a brew, just to save ten or twenty cents at the end of a year?

These are fine, but others do work... 5 out of 5 stars.

I've used several lesser known brands in my Bunn 10-cup without any of the grounds getting into the pot or detectable taste differences...but, for this price why not.

These same Bunn filters sell for around $2.00 for a box of 100 in several stores. The idea of charging $15.98 for a single box and offering free shipping is ridiculous. The product itself is absolutely wonderful, no arguement there. But shame on Amazon for the extreme overpricing of this item. I'm very surprised. I have no other complaints with them other than this. Maybe it's a mistake, but I just talked to a customer rep who said the price was this high because of the free shipping.
That's just not right.

The item being sold is one packet (250 filters) not a case.

Would be a good deal if it was an entire case, but considering the shipping fees, it is very expensive for a single pack.

Krups 053 gold tone coffee filter.

This unit is as good as all other Krups products it is for the 10 to 12 cup Krups product but does not fit the 10 cup XP 1500 Krups model there is not gold tone filter for that model according to Krups.

I bought this filter since it is supposed to fit most Krups' drip coffee makers. My Krups model is a common, fairly new, model so I thought it should work. It doesn't. It fit poorly and when I started to brew a pot of coffee the filter door popped open and coffee and grounds went all over the place. I will now order another filter with the specific number to fit mine.

First let me say that I bought this re-usable filter based on user reviews and the idea that I could stop buying the paper filters. There are a few downsides to using this filter. When you have finished brewing the coffee there is a silt residue at the bottom of the pot. It is something akin to the stuff on the bottom of a tea pot. You will notice a strange metallic taste with this filter. You have to clean the filter after each use. Dumping the grounds in the trash can gets most of the grounds, but you have to rinse the filter to clean out the remainder. I've had this filter nearly two months and I may go back to paper filters just to make sure the things I've noted here are directly related to the Gold Tone Filter.

I've been using the gold tone filter since day one and I haven't had any problems. I use both pre-ground and home-ground coffee. When I grind coffee for my Krups coffee maker myself, I try to match the grind of the pre-ground coffee. I use a larger grind for my French press and it still has more sediment than coffee made with the gold tone filter. Perhaps I am not a coffee connoisseur because I haven't noticed any metallic taste. I also love to put my filter in the dishwasher.
