i've owned this product for several years now. it may be plastic, but don't let that fool you. for the inexpert, this machine is super easy to use. and for the expert barista like myself, the espresso tastes pretty darned good. i make a mocha nearly every morning. i don't use the frothing wand 'cause i'm used to a high-powered one. i heat my milk on the stove or in the microwave. for this price, it's worth the money. lately, however, i have noticed the steam is escaping from the lid. which means, i think, the seal is not working properly. but, i've gotten what i paid for out of it, which was about the same price as amazon. like i said, i've had this machine for several years. and for a delonghi product, the quality can't be beat!

My husband purchased the Capresso mini S-4 espresso/cappuccino machine for me as a gift. I am delighted with this product! I use it every day and threw out my regular drip coffee maker as the coffee this product makes is far superior.

I recommend that first time espresso / cappuccino machine users pay close attention to the directions because although the machine is easy to use and clean, you will get much better results if you read the directions! For safety's sake, please ensure you pay attention to the manual section about the boiler. You could seriously burn yourself if you open the top of the espresso maker without letting all of the steam out. There is tremendous steam pressure inside the machine when it is operating.

This mini espresso maker produces wonderful results and I have been extremely pleased with this product.
I am especially impressed with the foaming / steaming arm - it makes the perfect "mousse" type foam for perfect cappuccinos. The machine certainly has enough "oomph!" and steam pressure - I am impressed.

I am very, very happy with the product and I have said "thank you" to my husband many times since receiving this gift!

A flavorful and aromatic espresso that I recommend with this machine is Cafe Bustelo. Cuban coffee is awesome! It's also not very expensive, tastes great and is a good value. I recommend Horizon Organic 2% milk as it emulsifies well and creates impressive "crema" or mousse for cappuccinos. It also tastes great and has an awesome mouthfeel. Very rich and makes beautiful lattes and cappuccinos! I also sprinkle organic cinnamon powder on top of my cappuccinos before serving. Smells and tastes wonderful!

With a durable stainless-steel boiler, two thermostats (for water and steam), 35-ounce water reservoir (which removes for easy filling and cleaning), and two nozzles, this self-priming pump machine brews up single or double shots of espresso in just minutes. As for taste, the machine's `sempre crema' filter holder produces a perfect, caramel-colored crema, the essence of great espresso. Before brewing, a built-in tamper levels and presses the grounds before use; some practice is usually required to tamp at just the right pressure. After brewing, a lever on the filter holder flips up to hold the metal basket in place in order to knock out the used grounds. Three switches make the entire brewing process intuitive: on/off, espresso/water delivery, and steam: the machine preheats cups and filter holder with hot water and also froths milk for cappuccino using a swivel steamer and adjustable steam control knob.
