We ordererd the Chefs Choice 685 because of its looks and reviews, but returned it due to three reasons (a) very flashy silver color, we prefer a matte look (b) cover does not fit smoothly, especially when pulling out and spills water on the kettle surface when removed (c) very light and not rugged. Apparently one of the earlier comments might be true that Chinese made models are not as well made as German made. We ended up buying the Breville

I LOVE this little press. I use it a few times a day - every day. You can make a single mug of regular coffee, or use less water and make espresso (1/2 cup of water to 2 tbs fine ground espresso of your choosing - brewed for @ 2 mins). I use a frother to prepare the soymilk before I pour the coffee into it. The press does NOT make a crema, but the body & flavor of the coffee tastes right. I have saved a FORTUNE making my own lattes at home with this little beauty.

Just because the name says Bodum doesn't mean this press is a quality product. This must be the worst press I have ever used. I used this for about three days and realized it was very a frustrating process to use this press. The overall design is very poor. The handle is attached the the base and clean up is very difficult as the plunger is hard to get off since the handle is ALSO attached to the rim of the glass. I would give this less than one star if I could.

The Brazil works on the same principle as all coffee presses. It combines coarse ground coffee with water that is just off of a boil. This combination along with 4 minutes of extraction time allows the oil and acids that give the coffee it's flavor to be completely extracted so you get a balanced and flavorful cup of coffee each time. I read all the reviews and couldn't believe that the coffemaker could be as bad as some made it out to be. Well it's worse!! It is excessivly noisy it vibrates like crazy, and my cup did in fact slide of the rest during brewing. Not only did it have these problems it stopped sensing the brew cup and would not brew coffee. Cuisinart sent a new one and it worked a week. Now more water spews out around the brew cup than goes through the brew cup. Water all over the counter top and very weak coffee. I let my 30 day return period with Amazon pass so now I have to deal with Cuisinat. All they want to do is send another noisy, vibrating coffe maker that does make great coffee. Don't make my mistake buy something else.

Local stores were out of this product and by purchasing 2 packages the shipping was free. I got it much quicker than if I would have waited for the local, national chain, to get it in.

The product works alright. In comparison to the liquid version this product is very expensive as you will only get 3 cleanings out of this 9 pack (3 tablets per cleaning). The price point of the liquid is more reasonable as it provides at least 5 or 6 cleanings.

I used the tablets in a starbucks Barista espresso machine. It seemed to release a lot of deposits that had built up in our machine and once thoroughly rinsed operated more efficiently.

The swissgold TF 200 has performed excellently with the loose leaf tea products I have used. It's easy to fill, easy to clean, and I have not notice any tea leaves in the tea. The gold sides are a bit delicate but it has cleaned well and I would definitely buy one again. Great product for the price.

I haven't actually used the swissgold for tea yet, but it works GREAT for mulled cider--a must this time of year! It's large enough to hold all the spices for an entire gallon of cider, and it's so nice to be able to clip it to the handle of my pot!

I was using those bloody tea balls that are round and you have to fill both halves and then figure out how to clip them shut. Is it just me lacking dexterity or is that a really flawed design? Anyway, this infuser is perfect. Unscrew the top, toss in however much loose tea you want (A couple of Tablespoons of Chai but just one scant Tablespoon for the Earl Grey with extra bergamot), screw the lid back on and steep yourself some wondrous tea. Clean up could be easier but couldn't clean up always be easier? I love this infuser and will be buying a couple more just so I never have to worry about losing this or damaging this one.

I bought this product about 6 years ago. I was impressed from the first brew. The coffee was great! The freshly ground beans seemed to make the difference. Then as time went by, certain plastic parts of the machine began to warp from heat exposure. I've had to replace the cover over the ground beans twice already. It has always leaked a little water and as time has worn on it leaks pretty badly today. Out of 10 cups of water we rarely get more than 5 cups of coffee. In the beginning the loss was less than a cup. The condensing steam flows out from the chamber directly over the ground beans and down the outside of the chamber. It's not corrected by cleaning or any other method we've tried. It still makes pretty good coffee, but I'll be looking for another type when we need to replace this one.+

I've been using this filter on my C3000 ever since I bought the machine up until a few months ago. I really couldn't tell any difference in taste without the filter. I know it helps to reduce the buildup of minieral inside the machine but as far as taste my coffee/espresso it still tastes like coffee/espresoo without the filter. I would still recomend buying it to reduce the buildup of minerals inside your machine but as far as taste I would pass.

I bought this after clumsily breaking my original pot for my Krups Espresso maker; it's not the exact size, shape as the original but it comes close and works just as well. Glad to have it and in fact I've bought another for back up in case of future blonde moments.

Not much to say about it, other than that it is an identical replacement for the original carafe I managed to shatter into a million little pieces. One caveat however, it does not come with a top, so make sure you keep yours.

So after my husband learned that a glass carafe + ceramic tile floor = big mess, we ordered this replacement for our Krups Il Duomo. No issues with the size, it fit perfectly. I am thankful that we kept the lid, as I am a little surprised that the lid is an extra purchase (and around $6!)
We're storing this one in the box in the cabinet so we don't repeat history...

i use cloth wipes, and this pump pot is perfect for holding warm water to moisten my wipes as i need them. it's particularly invaluable in the middle of the night, when i don't want to trudge into the bathroom and wait for the water to get hot, while my baby is waiting to be cleaned. while the water isn't as warm 18 hours later, as when i first put it in, it is still highly reliable for my use. anything that makes my nights smoother is worth it to me!

i use this thermos next to my son's changing table. instead of buying wipes i just use some small clothes (imse vimse's) and wet them with the room temp. water in the thermos and it works wonderfully. since i already use cloth diapers it didn't make sense to use paper wipes. i just put everything in the same bag and wash it all together.

truly, there is no need for any fancy solution or a warmer, water and a cloth does the dirty job just fine.

I have had my Bodum frother for about three years (older model than this one, black plastic top) and have had no problems with it other than my husband hitting the top rim with something and chipping the glass. I smoothed it out with an emery board nail file and it is fine, but that prompted me to look on Amazon to see if they still sold them so that I could order a backup but they are a little pricey now; I think I paid only about $10 for mine.

Many people have criticized this product because the glass broke and it seems many people are using metal spoons with it. To me it is common sense when dealing with a thin glass product such as this to use a plastic utensil if you need one. One of those long handled plastic spoons like you get at an ice cream shop work well. I usually just pour my froth out and wait a few seconds with a couple of little shakes which gets most of it out.

I always heat the milk (or half & half which I use most of the time) in the microwave first right in the beaker, then do the pumping and have had no problems doing it that way. I actually think heated milk froths better and creates a finer froth. Many people are under the false impression that heated milk won't froth but I think this is because most of the instructions on frothing are for espresso machines where it is always suggested to use very cold milk before steaming and frothing. But this is because of the heating factor with the hot steam. You have to use cold milk or you won't have enough time to froth before the milk reaches the ideal temperature. If you used preheated milk it would quickly overheat using hot steam to froth. So I think because of this many people assume that you need cold milk for any kind of frothing.

My Bodum has held up extremely well over the years that I have used it but I am careful with it and never put it in the dishwasher. I always immediately rinse both the wand and beaker, fill with a little warm water and detergent, then pump a few times to disperse the detergent. I then rinse well and air dry. I rarely take it apart to clean. Once in awhile I use a very soft brush to clean the screen.

This little frother is both convenient and stress free, no worrying about timing, or temperature, as with the espresso machine wands. You just pump for as long as you want until you're happy with the volume of your froth, which you can easily see because of the clear glass.
