A delicious cup of coffee every morning! No more trips to Dunkin Donuts! I buy the variety pack, so I don't get bored! I have found buying the k cups at Bed Bath & Beyond very convenient and reasonably priced as I use the 20% coupon. The only reason I do not give it 5 stars is because sometimes it only brews about 1/2 cup. Haven't really figured out why yet, but could be something I'm doing wrong.

The coffee maker's motor shakes the maker so violently that the noise woke up the entire house. The instruction book will advise you that this is normal and customer service will explain that all models vibrate. Sometimes vibrations actually shook the cup off the maker while the coffee was brewing.
You want to wake up to coffee not this "jack hammer." Terrible design. Keep looking.

Capresso water filter - not really necessary 3 out of 5 stars.

As much as I love Capresso products - this one is questionable.
You might wonder what I mean by this - well, first of all look at the costs for just three filters. Second: If you use these filters as recommended on the package (60 uses or 6 weeks) then just do the math.
Yes, you will pay in one year more than the cost of your coffee maker. I have a Capresso coffee maker that cost over $200 and I love it but cannot afford these filters.
To beat this unnecessary filter and its expense, this is what you do. Simply use filtered water. Quality filtered water will be without all the particles and contaminants that will hurt your coffee maker. Then, follow the coffee maker's instructions regarding its cleaning - like using white vinegar to keep the system free of harmful calcification.
Manufacturers are in business to make money and they will sell you whatever you believe you must buy - these filters are not necessary!

When the aroma of freshly brewed coffee--from freshly ground beans--wafts into your bedroom in the morning, you won't need your alarm clock. Preset this coffeemaker for your desired wake-up time, add coffee beans to the grinder, and in the morning the beans are ground to a medium grind and hot coffee awaits in the glass 12-cup carafe. You can also program the machine to start brewing at the end of a dinner party to avoid having to get up from the table, or to have hot coffee waiting after a brisk winter walk. When making fewer than five cups of coffee, use the 1-to-4-cups setting to improve extraction and heat; coffeemakers without this setting often lack the time to heat up properly, and coffee comes out cooler. A disposable charcoal filter removes chlorine and odors from tap water, improving coffee flavor, and should be changed every few months. Other features include the capacity to use preground coffee instead of beans; 30-second Brew Pause, which allows a cup be poured before brewing is complete; and an audible tone to indicate the pot is ready. DO NOT BUY ANY BODUM COFFEE OR TEA PRESS THAT CONTAINS GLASS. BODUM USES A SPECIAL GLASS THAT IS EXTRAORDINARILY FRAGILE AND BREAKS FOR NO APPARENT REASON.
I love Bodum Coffee Presses. But I would NEVER recommend anyone buy one with a glass beaker. You will need to replace the beaker frequently, since the special glass Bodum uses is extremely fragile, and breaks repeatedly for no apparent reason at all. I replaced four beakers, two glass tea presses, and several beakers from milk frothers in short order before giving up. Make no mistake, you do not have to bang the glass against anything for it to break. It simply cracks spontaneously for no apparent reason
Bodum has come out with some presses with a LEXAN clear plastic beaker.
These do not break. I assume they came out with the LEXAN product because of problems with the glass. Be warned.
