I have had my Bodum frother for about three years (older model than this one, black plastic top) and have had no problems with it other than my husband hitting the top rim with something and chipping the glass. I smoothed it out with an emery board nail file and it is fine, but that prompted me to look on Amazon to see if they still sold them so that I could order a backup but they are a little pricey now; I think I paid only about $10 for mine.

Many people have criticized this product because the glass broke and it seems many people are using metal spoons with it. To me it is common sense when dealing with a thin glass product such as this to use a plastic utensil if you need one. One of those long handled plastic spoons like you get at an ice cream shop work well. I usually just pour my froth out and wait a few seconds with a couple of little shakes which gets most of it out.

I always heat the milk (or half & half which I use most of the time) in the microwave first right in the beaker, then do the pumping and have had no problems doing it that way. I actually think heated milk froths better and creates a finer froth. Many people are under the false impression that heated milk won't froth but I think this is because most of the instructions on frothing are for espresso machines where it is always suggested to use very cold milk before steaming and frothing. But this is because of the heating factor with the hot steam. You have to use cold milk or you won't have enough time to froth before the milk reaches the ideal temperature. If you used preheated milk it would quickly overheat using hot steam to froth. So I think because of this many people assume that you need cold milk for any kind of frothing.

My Bodum has held up extremely well over the years that I have used it but I am careful with it and never put it in the dishwasher. I always immediately rinse both the wand and beaker, fill with a little warm water and detergent, then pump a few times to disperse the detergent. I then rinse well and air dry. I rarely take it apart to clean. Once in awhile I use a very soft brush to clean the screen.

This little frother is both convenient and stress free, no worrying about timing, or temperature, as with the espresso machine wands. You just pump for as long as you want until you're happy with the volume of your froth, which you can easily see because of the clear glass.

Don't pay attention to the reviewers who think that you brew tea in a tea strainer. You don't cook spaghetti in a spaghetti strainer. This is a tea strainer, made for pour loose leaf brews through AFTER you have brewed your tea, so that you don't wind up with leaves in your cup. This works great for Turkish Coffee as well.

So, basically you DO NOT place loose leaves in the wire mesh and pour hot water through it. Place the loose leaves in the hot water and brew them in the tea pot. Pour the tea that you have brewed to your taste through the strainer and into the cup and catch the loose leaves.

The carafe is a perfect replacement for the one I dropped in the sink. Fits the Braun coffeemaker perfectly. I do think the price is a bit high, though, for a replacement piece of glass.

I am quite disappointed with Amazon with respect to this product. This was purchased through Amazon and shipped by Buy-it-now-store. After being charged for the merchandise I had to email amazon as to the whereabouts of my purchase only to be told that this item was available to ship to Hawaii. In the past I made a purchase for a replacement carafe and had to problem. Because of this I am not able to use the coffee maker. Is there another alternative as I am not able to purchase this locally.

Having purchased a Mr. Coffee 4-cup coffeemaker, I wasn't looking forward to buying packs of disposable filters. (My local grocery store doesn't even carry that small size!) I also don't like the waste of single-use filters. So, I was pleased to find this permanent filter. I've been using it for several months now, and my coffee always comes out just fine. The filter is easy to clean and, other than washing it after each use, there is no maintenance involved. Using this filter over time, you'll make up the cost of buying disposable ones, and you'll have that much less to toss in the garbage each time you brew a cuppa joe.

These were just what we needed. The fit was perfect with our Mr. Coffee. The only thing I would have like to see additional was a lift handle like my old one used to have. Otherwise it does the job nicely.

My old Zojirushi water boiler conked out after 8 years of regular use, so I ordered the CD-WBC30. Features have gotten better in 8 years: the LCD display shows the temperature, and I have 4 thermostat settings instead of two. I used to have to choose between 208 degrees (too hot) and 140 degrees (too cold). I can now also select 195 degrees and 175 degrees. The 175 degree setting is just fine for instant coffee and oatmeal. I've used this boiler for two months without problems.

I found out about this product while visiting San Francisco, I was unable to purchase one in my area unless I got one on line. It is wonderful, not just for tea but for instant oatmeals, soups, cocoa, rice, noodles, and so many more things. I made a believer out of my whole family, who originally said, "Why would you buy that?" They know now. For a busy family it's a great thing to have.

I had originally wanted a Mr. Bento, but I'm not the type who eats a large amount, especially for lunch, so I opted to purchase the Ms. Bento. It's just the right size for me. As long as you follow the directions, the food stays nice and warm for a hefty amount of time. I usually make my lunch at 7am, and then eat it at 1pm, and it's always still toasty. I usually heat everything almost to boiling, though, so that probably helps. (I have yet to use it for cold food.)
It's fairly easy to clean by hand. I have managed to stain my bottom soup container, but that's really my own fault. I haven't met a plastic container that doesn't get stained from microwaving tomato soup.
I love that it comes with a spork. I'm not the best at eating with chopsticks.
I have been trying to convince my sister to purchase one of these, but she thinks they are too expensive.

Unlike most of the buyers of this carafe, I found it to be a serious disappointment, thanks to a major design flaw. The open-and-close mechanism is a dud. After pushing the handle knob to "open," what I get from the spout is little more than a trickle. Returning any product costing less than $25 is such a hassle that I'll just toss it and eventually buy another one, but a more expensive one from another manufacturer -- and keep my fingers crossed.

Zojirushi Premium Thermal 1-Liter Carafe, Brushed Stainless Steel

This is a wonderful product. Truck driver for 32 years and I've seen a lot of thermos/carafe products. This is one of the best ever.
Button sticks? Top probably not fully in place. Base gets loose and leaks a bit? Carefully unscrew the base,carefully wash and dry the bottle and insides then simply do a careful reassembly. Left over condensation in the lid. Several products on the market to clean out any bad stuff.Then simply run several carafes full of water through it 'till smells fresh.. Want it to keep coffee or water a bit hotter? Simply let a carafe of hot water rest in the carafe while you prepare a pot of hot water or your choice of drink and it starts hot and stays hot for a bit longer.
I've owned that little carafe for several months now and it's seen almost 100,000 miles in my truck. Still keeping my coffee hot. Love it.

This mug is awesome. It was hard to find a large mug that would hodl coffee for all day. My only omplaint is that it doesn't have a closure on the opening so if I go over a bump a little spills - no big deal!

Do not buy this mug if you are looking for something that is even remotely spill proof. The drink opening does not close. This might be okay for use in the car but not for people who want to want to use while walking around.while full and walking. Seems like a silly design.

The MyPod with these filters makes excellent coffee as long as you're starting good quality ground coffee. Much better than any of the Senseo types I've tried.
Two minor problems: doesn't froth like the Senseo coffee.
You still have to prepare and clean up the coffee grounds, just like with an ordinary coffee maker!

I got these with the "My Pod" system as I was tired of paying too much for the individual pods by Senseo. I also wanted to use my own coffee. At first I didn't like it, it was too much to do with making a single cup, but the whole reason I got rid of my other pot was because I am the only one who drinks coffee, and one cup a day at that.
After figuring out how to use these, I fell in LOVE with MY coffee being filtered and NO reminents left behind!
These filters are great! And 100 packs lasts me over 1 year. Thanks to Amazon who carries them, I can enjoy my own coffee anytime now and not have to "savor" my filters for special occassions!

I did a lot of debating over this purchase as the reviews were very mixed, but I'm glad I decided to purchase it. The heater does a good job of keeping coffee toasty warm until finished. I'm not a fast drinker, but I also like to enjoy. It worked well enough for my needs. No, I don't think it would heat a cold cup of coffee and it won't keep it steaming hot for hours on end, but overall, it's worth the price. The cup is nothing special and not at all necessary.

What's there to say about a mug warmer? It keeps my mug warm! My only complaint (which is minor) is that it is only big enough for a normal-sized mug. If you have a big mug, it won't fit on the mug-warmer.

I suppose that it might be nice to have an automatic-off feature, in case you absent-mindedly leave it on, but it's not a feature I've needed yet.

I drink my coffee slowly. I drink too much because I keep adding more to heat it up, and I'm still not all that happy with it.

So I bought this little cup warmer and am thrilled at how well it works. It keeps the coffee very hot and can warm up liquids even if it says it can't (assuming they're not cold). Not sure the taste improves as it sits there and stays hot/cooks some more, but I have to say my coffee is nice and warm and I'm one very happy camper. I ordered some more for gifts.

Service from the third-party vendor (Farm & Home Supply) was really fast and perfect -- but ridiculously expensive. The shipping and handling cost over $11.00. Almost as much as the product. If I could have found it locally, I would have bought it. Can't find any stores that carry this, even the ones whose websites say they carry it don't have it in stock.
