The flowers are beautiful. It is very amazing to see the flowers unfurl underwater, especially with young kids. They love it! However, to call the peach tea subtle, is an understatement. I found the tea to be flavorless to slightly pungent / earthy. I am rating this as a 2-star (5-stars for the beautiful display and 1-star for taste). However, I am happy to keep these tea flowers because we will use the tea flowers as a centerpiece / conversation piece and brew some other great tasting teas to actually drink!

This tea is wonderfully refreshing. It has beautifully strong peach scent when leaning over the teapot, and corresponding flavor; yet it is light enough not to linger on the palate and leave an aftertaste. This tea is not bitter at all, even after steeping for at least 45 minutes in the pot.

I just got this the other day. The peach flavor is very subtle. The flowers are beautiful. It's a delight to watch them unfurl while they are steeping. I do take issue with how many cups of tea this product should make. In the listing, it shows 12 flowers, and it also says you can use each one 3 times. So, how did they come up with 250 cups? By the 3rd time you use each one, the flavor tends to get weaker, especially by the 3rd time. I do use an 8 ounce mug, but I also brew it in this very small teapot, one that came with my Numi Bamboo Gift Set. I use each flower 3 times in that same small teapot. Unless you are using a child size teacup, like the kind that comes in a teaset for kids, there is no way this item will make 250 cups! Maybe it is worth it to pay this price since it's not a normal teabag, but it is alittle overpriced I think, for what you get. I also wish the peach flavor was more intense than it is.

The UtiliTEA is an excellent electric tea kettle-- it's comes in two parts, the base and the kettle. The base plugs in, the kettle rests on top of it. Fill it with (up to four cups) of water, fit the kettle on the base, set the dial to the desired temperature, flip the switch and moments later, you've got hot water when the switch pops back up. I've used mine endlessly since I've gotten it.

A few gripes though, the UtiliTEA's temperature gauge is color coded rather than providing any kind of numeric indication and the manual. It's easy to use, but if you needed precision (and I don't), you won't be able to get it. More irritating is no real audible indication that it's done-- the lever clicks, but there's no whistle, bell or anything else you'll notice in the other room. Good news is, it's really fast, even to bring water to a boil. A final thing I dislike-- there's no "off" switch on the base and they recommend pulling the power cord between uses. I'm not certain whether it's unsafe to leave it plugged in, but I keep pulling the plug after every use which is quite honestly annoying. Mind you, I'm a new homeowner, I'm a little paranoid about such things.

I realize my criticism is pretty harsh-- the UtiliTEA does its core competencies fantastically, and I've used this exclusively as my water heating solution, but while it's an excellent device, any potential buyer should be aware of its limitations.

I was impressed with the price and quality of this mug. It's solidly built and easy to use. It comes with a template and you can download additional templates from their website. I opened the template (PDF) in PhotoShop and created a very slick looking insert. I may buy a few more as gifts. The instructions warn you not to submerge the mug in water, but I haven't had any problems with water getting to the insert when hand washing, so no worries.

Works as advertised. Button stopper is a great feature. Keeps coffee very hot. Glass liner does not impart any off flavors to beverages. This particular model is a good size for 2-4 people. Great price at Amazon - I checked around. Very happy with purchase.

The quality of this Braun replacement appears to be fine. However, it DOES NOT work with the Braun KFK10 product that I have. Is there some other designation that could be added so that one understands that it is NOT universal, does not fit all KFK10 models

In search of a replacement carafe I went to all the usual stores, BB&BY, LNT, TARGET, WAL*MART...no one carried this style for my older unit. Replacement makers were high priced versions of the same so I'm happy to have found this carafe(which has a slight improvement)to keep my older maker going strong.

Despite indications on the Hamilton Beach web site that this filter would work as a replacement, this model is too small. A call to Hamilton Beach resulted in us being informed that there is no filter to fit the Brewstation Deluxe.

The filter that I ordered was specifically for the Hamilton Beech high end coffee maker that I owned. It did not fit the coffee maker when it arrivved. I bought a new coffee maker and have the filter out in my garage...maybe I can filter paint with it or something.

Warning to all who want a non-plastic-y kettle 4 out of 5 stars.

Hi,

If you are like me and is considering purchasing this product so you don't boil water in any sort of plastic container, then beware:

Though this kettle is entirely stainless steel on the inside as well as the outside, there are two little holes on the inside, near the handle, where the water goes through for the water indicator. Unfortunately, these two holes are insulated (waterproofed) with some sort of rubber/soft plastic substance, and the water indicator itself is made out of plastic rather than glass.

Besides that, this kettle does its job very well and I think most of the other reviews already pointed out the goodness and flaws of it.

I got the Model 677 about 2 months ago as a replacement for a similar item received as a gift several years ago. This kettle makes hot water just fine - very happy with that part. It is also the right size, and capacity. The issue with it is the lid. There is no reason to have an attached button actuated lid. That one feature obstructs cleaning the inside, and provides opportunity for breakage. Breakage either due to mechanical failure or accident seems almost certain. The "old" kettle had a removable lid -- perfect! I strongly recommend Chef Choice produce this with a removable lid, with the same size opening as the model 677, or larger. The other problem with the lid is that my wife cannot hold the pot under the faucet because of a shoulder / arm problem. She must sit it down fill it, then lift with both hands. The lid does not open far enough to do this. It would have to open at least 90 degrees, and that would be a problem for many sinks. So the simple and correct solution is removable lid! One last item, as others have noted in their reviews, the level indicator is hard to read. It easy to read on the old model (Toastess I believe it was).

Great item! I was thrilled to find a replacement for my older model of Krups(at least 15 years OLD). The height and the shape of the carafe are identical to the ld one, but the new lid does not work very well. In order for coffee to drip, I had to insert the carafe sideways as the new lid has a carved-out front and does not depress the drip latch.

So DO NOT THROW OUT YOUR OLD LID!!!! I put my old lid on, it snapped right in and the coffee maker is still in business!

Very, very pleased with the results!

It may be a small item in size, but it makes a big difference in the taste. The filters work very well and help keep out the "bad stuff" that we find in our "clean" water. Tried making coffee without one, but it just doesnt taste the same. Please keep in the inventory!! Very hard to find other places that dont cost an arm & a leg.

These filters for my coffee maker work fine. I was surprized that a piece of filter paper wrapped around some activated charcoal was so expensuve.However, I understand that maintainence materials for a quality product such as this coffee maker,are likely to be pricey.
