I owned a space saver coffeemaker years back and loved it. I decided to buy the Black and Decker Spacesaver Coffemaker. I ended up returning the first one because it just quit and now my second one is not dispensing all the water when you run the cycle. I will not buy a third one. And yes, it is a s-l-o-w coffeemaker.

I have had one of these Black & Decker 12-Cup Coffeemakers before and really liked it a lot. Had to replace it when the old one played out. I really like the feature of under counter mount as it doesn't take up any counter space.

I would not recommend this product. 1) the mounting bracket installs with the screw going up into the cabinet 2) product completely died within the first 6 months of use. One day it just would not turn on.

The Braun KF580 - Standard Design With Common Quality Control Issues And A High List Price 3 out of 5 stars.

The Braun KF580 AromaDeluxe 10-Cup TimeControl Coffemaker may be an option for those looking for a drip coffee maker in this white color to match their kitchen set up. However, the problems I have found with other Braun models are still present here. Those who get a good model may think it's one of the best, and those who get a lemon will be disappointed. Considering the high list price, this kind of inconsistency is disappointing.

This product is just one of many Braun models that seems to be a re-badged version of the same product with only a few minor difference. My search for a better coffeemaker continues. I originally tried the Braun KF590 Impressions Digital 10-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker which is essentially the same model except for the black color and metal accents. I have been trying to replace my Braun KF510-BK AromaDeluxe 10-Cup Coffeemaker, Black. It's also just a basic drip coffee maker but has performed well. The bottom line was that I needed a timer. The 580 and 590 have a timer while the 510 doesn't.

Well for starters, I was shocked to see how similar all these models are. In fact all the design elements are identical except for the front panel with the clock and buttons. The 510 just has an red on/off switch there. Clearly, Braun has been saving their research and development dollars for other things. Looking at all their coffeemakers in this family makes it clear they are sticking to the "if it aint broke, don't fix it" approach.

The only difference between these models are cosmetic, with the different colors and stainless steel accents. None of those things should alter the performance issues with the coffee maker.

The timer did work as expected. It's pretty intuitive, I believe that anybody could time it if they have used others. Still, I read the whole manual, as I always do, to make sure I got everything right. Nice features include the ability to change the auto-shutoff time.

But despite this tested design, there were some downsides. For starters, the plastic tab that keeps the reservoir closed seemed to be made from a slightly cheaper plastic than my old Braun. The result? The first 590 I bought had a defective door that flung open at night, and I woke up to spilled hot water and no coffee. Very annoying. I tried taping it closed, but this didn't instill confidence in me for Braun's quality control.

Ok, I can give them the benefit of the doubt and say not every unit will have that defect. Needless to say, I had to return mine. But in the end I caved and eventually had that one replaced. The replacement was slightly better but still had some issues. Now after trying the white version, the 580, I have had to deal with the same problems. In addition to the front bin opening, the timer clock acts flaky and sometimes turns the coffee maker on when you are just trying to set the timer. Very very annoying.

But after realizing all these models are replicas of the 510 with a clock and timer added, I had to wonder why the list price was $80 to 90? This is just too much for a basic coffee maker with a timer. The 510 is listed at $50 and sells for $40, which also seems high. Still, did they think adding a timer justified $40 or $50 more? Even the 590's prevailing price of $60 seems borderline high to me, but I could accept it if this unit was without flaws. The 580 sells for a little less, but can still only be purchased at a discount.

There are some minor flaws that seem the same as my old Braun. The reservoir does leak water if you move it at all after brewing, which is a minor annoyance. The steam does seem to escape from the top during brewing. And the carafe is designed so you have to pour very slowly or it will spill. Another minor issue, not a huge knock.

Still, after dealing with this first hand, I think there are better values to be had. For the price of this unit, I can get a low end grind and brew unit that will make fresher coffee.

All of the units I have tested look nice enough. As long as you know what you are getting, this might fit your needs.

Once again not a bad unit, but perhaps a little overpriced. And check yours well to make sure it's not defective.

Did not want to spend 500 plus dollars on a automatic, so I comprimised with the semi auto Capresso. I enjoy the flavorful coffee and it is a snap to use. simple put the coffee in the machine, rotate it, press the handle down and turn the pump on. It would be nice to set the amount of espresso that it makes, but wait 5-15 seconds depending on your taste likings and you have coffee house quality espresso. I would give it a five stars if it allowed you to set the amount of water / espresso that flowed through the machine every time you pressed the pump button, without having to manually turn it off.

When moving into our new office, I was looking to get an espresso machine, but was concerned that getting folks to clean it out after using it would prove too difficult. I came across the Capresso and decided to give it a try because it was self cleaning.

Almost a year a half later I'm extremely satisfied with this amazing machine. Because it's used differently than most espresso machines, it takes a bit to get used to it. But once folks get the hang of making espresso, it's a breeze to use.

For my office, the self-cleaning function is far and away the best part of this unit; add the coffee into the chute replace the cover, turn the handle and crank it down and turn on the pump. Cleaning is as simple as lifting the handle and turning the crank around once. The grounds dump cleanly into the interior tray, which can hold quite a bit.

This really is a great unit that makes having espresso drinks at the office easy (and clean).

This product is pretty good. The only problems are: the lid tends to be very loose and comes off easily, it is neccessary to completely invert the decanter in order to empty it, and it is extremely fragile.

This is the second replacement pot we had to buy for this pot. It is so expensive, and if you don't treat it right, it'll shatter. DO NOT leave the maker on with less than half an inch of coffee in the pot for any lenghth of time, as this will weaken the integrity of the pot. Saying that, this is the correct pot and I still would have bought it.

Great Item, just what I needed to replace my broken coffee pot! It arrived super quick and packed so good! However, I did come across one a week later in my local Kroger grocery store and could have saved a few dollars by buying it there. Didn't think to look there! Otherwise, item was perfect and service was superb!

We had the Krups coffee and espresso maker for years, which leaked practically the whole time, but I got used to it. Next we used the Cuisinart Grind and Brew which we received as a gift. That was the coffee machine from H---, but the coffee in the end, was really good. Oh my, it leaked, all the parts to clean, the filter basket constantly popped out (we rubber banded it), it was as loud as a jackhammer in the morning etc. etc., just awful. After using this Hamilton Beach now for a few days, I am thrilled! Nothing leaks so far, it's quiet, the coffee is hot and delicious, one basket to remove and empty, it's just great. I think it's great looking too, up there with the Krups and Cuisinart at a fraction of their price. The downside is that the lid lifts length-wise and can't be lifted under our cabinets so the unit has to be pulled out to fill. I would give it 4 stars for that, if it were a $150+ coffeemaker, but for $50 or so, I'm very pleased with this nice machine. I highly recommend it! If things change over time, I will gladly update my review.

My husband has been talking up this kind of coffee maker for a while so I bought him one for his birthday. It was an instant hit! Cautions to go along with this coffee maker...not something to use when you are in a hurry because of the attention needed while handling the pot. It is made of glass...we are having to replace the top pot already because when my husband was cleaning it up, he accidentally tapped it with his wedding ring and it broke. Note here: that part is almost as expensive as the whole coffeepot! If you break it you may just want to go ahead and replace the whole thing. Sounds crazy, but I may do that the next time!

This coffeemaker makes a great pot of coffee & the advance timer function is a real advantage.Waking up to coffee already made is mighty convenient. The functions are relatively easy to program, though the image of machine w/names of parts should have been put on the facing page of the usage instructions.The water gauge has constant air bubbles (very annoying) so amount of water has to be reckoned by the pot. The "finished brewing" alert is so faint that if one isn't directly next to the pot,it can't be heard. Minor annoyances,I grant,but need to be addressed.

Quiet, but problems 2 out of 5 stars.

We recently purchased this for our office. The good points: It's very quiet when it brews, and keeps the coffee warm for a good long time.

But it's annoying in several ways. First, the pot doesn't easily fit into the unit without shoving a few times. Also, the top twists to either "pour" or "keep warm," and the "pour" hardly dribbles. I always end up taking the top off totally to pour it. The top is then hard to get back on, it doesn't sit on the top evenly enough to twist it back on.

Now I'm wondering if we shouldn't have shelled out the extra bucks for a higher-quality unit. Maybe we got a lemon?

Usually Black and Decker products are reliable. The TCM830, sadly is not. It's barely 6 months old and is failing. The reservoir doesn't completely empty thus making the perfect pot of coffee somewhat challenging. You need to be wide awake when positioning the carafe under the brew basket; else, you'll have a counter top full of coffee. I'm shopping for a replacement.
