I bought this coffee maker in early May, 2010 after my Cuisinart CBC series coffee maker finally started functioning irregularly after 7 years of daily use. I wasn't using the programming function of that coffee maker too much and honestly, despite its reliability, the Cuisinart is rather plain, especially compared to this DeLonghi model that I'd been hearing and reading about.

Well, one of our local big box stores (with a great return policy) had these for a fraction of what Amazon charges so I decided to go for it. It worked great up until today and then it just stopped brewing mysteriously. The left side of the machine that holds the water wouldn't process and transfer it over to the right side where the coffee resides. I'm not really clear what the issue was, but when I finally tried to push the reset button, the button got stuck inside the machine! Great. I dislodged the button and returned it back to its original position, but as far as I could tell, pushing it didn't have any effect. Even after a thorough cleaning, it still wouldn't work. I'm mulling over what to do next...it's easy to return but if I buy another one, will the same situation develop?

Perhaps, it's just extremely delicate...at any rate, a far different experience from the workhorse production I got from the Cuisinart. It really is a shame as it's the most attractive counter top appliance in the kitchen.

If you are thinking about buying this item, you should know that you can no longer obtain a replacement carafe (which is made out of a fairly thin glass) for this unit and according to Krups customer care nothing else will fit this model.

I've had the Krups Moka Brew for about 5 years and would buy another. I've had no problems with it. It has a low profile that lets it slip under my cupboards. I get compliments on my coffee. The Moka Brew is a little fussier to operate than some and doesn't keep coffee warm very long. So, it's definitely best for smaller households of coffee aficionados who savour a mug or two of good coffee and go.

This 4 cup coffeemaker is great. I prefer it to the "basket" type because you only need 2 scoops of coffee for 2 cups; 3 scoops are needed for the basket type. I don't like the tiny power button.

Works pretty well and brews well, but is hard to take apart for cleaning. The shape of the coffee filter basket makes putting the paper cone in pretty difficult. In general; the construction is pretty cheep and I expect some part to fail every time I use it.

I was unsure by the product description if this 4-cup coffee maker included an automatic shut-off feature. Something in the notes led me to believe it had one, but once I received the product and reviewed the manual, I found that it does not. I returned it, so I can't comment on any of the other features.

I have this coffeemaker less than three months. It makes good coffee.... I noticed that the glass carafe is crazed on the bottom (short cracks that don't go all of the way through). It still holds water.
I called the company, and was told that glass parts aren't covered by the warranty. It is obviously a manufacturer's defect. I won't buy anything from Toastmaster, or from any of their related companies. Obviously, they don't care about the consumer, and they don't stand behind their product.

We are still having problems getting a stronge cup off coffee and a full cup.I known it is the coffee that makes the it stronge,but the full cup and not spilling is the maker.Hopefully we will get it right but at times I find us going back to the push type coffee maker.

I first saw this product in a hotel. I was so impressed with it that I found it to buy for my own kitchen. It makes a great cup of coffee and it's quick and simple. The coffee is really hot and tastes great!

This coffee maker does what it is designed to do. I liked that it uses cone filters (not the basket type.)

It replaced a Braun we had for years. The stainless steel dresses it up nicely, a good addition to the kitchen.

I spent way too much time comparing coffee makers. I almost went with a Cuisinart, but then read the posted negative reviews that warned of an electrical fire hazard. Ended up going with the Waring. As a newer product, there was less information available, but it was mainly positive. I also saw that there other products in this line that have favorable ratings. So far, we've been very pleased. The coffee tastes great, it's very hot, the carafe pours without spilling, it doesn't take up a huge amount of space on the counter, it is easy to fill and see the water level, and the programming functions are straightforward. Now I just hope that it lasts for a while.

For how expensive this is and the high ratings it seems to get I can not use the words that best describe it for me other than this machine is overrated.

First, I have been roasting coffee since the 90s and have used many different types of brewing devices. I am not the smartest guy but I have some experience making a good cup of coffee. And I can usually work my way around things mechanically.

While this machine gets high ratings for the temperature it reaches the main part that holds the coffee is the cheapest thing I have ever seen. And I ask why? The coffee flow control is nothing more than a manual slide lever. That includes shutting it off. Even less expensive machines stop the flow when you pull out the carafe. Another problem is that it can clog. While it does have an overflow and shouldn't make a mess on your counter it does make a mess of the machine.

It just boggles my mind that something so expensive has as its main component something so cheap. I write this today because it did clog and really - well you know!

My wife and I bought this coffee maker about 4 years ago. We still have it and use it (and the programmable timer, which we love) nearly every day. I will say this; after about 2 years, the coffee container developed a leak. We contacted the company via email and was told they'd be glad to sell us a new one (for about what the original coffee make cost us). We did a little looking around and bought one for less than what the manufacturer wanted to sell it to us for. Now, the new container is working fine. Will our container start leaking again? Who knows, but if I were advising someone on a coffee maker purchase, I'd say, spend a bit more than we did.

From the very beginning, this machine didn't brew properly, little pieces of white plastic (?) settling down at the bottom of the carafe every so often. Now 4 months 4 days after I purchased it, it won't brew at all. It cost a bit too much for it to give out after such a short period of time. I don't expect much from a $10 coffee maker, but this one was $25. The return policy requires you to have the original box, the packaging receipt, and pay for return shipping, and in return I will receive a "partial refund." Really? After all that, I'd like a complete refund, please.

It looks pretty on my sink but other than that, it's not too hot. The measurement marks on the pot and the ones on the side of the water reservoir do not measure the same. The ones on the reservoir are very difficult to see. I would not purchase this coffee maker again.

I bought this looking for a very low end coffee maker to have at the office. I really did not have any expectations of it being amazing, but I wanted it to match the performance of another $20 coffee maker I bought at target.

It worked fine for about a week, now the coffee is very weak and tastes very plasticy.

I didn't expect to get years out of it, but I did want more than a week! Too cheap to worry about the hassle of returning it.
