DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from WHOLELATTELOVE. This machine or any other one. As a lot of reviewers have stated, their service is non existent. They are rude, unhelpful and dishonest. I am still trying to get a refund for an authorized debit to my bank account. The machines they sell are not the problem, they are. Buy from someone else.

Well, I have to add my 2cents about WholeLatteLove. Not customer service oriented AT ALL. Still waiting for a call-back from two days ago. Not holding my breath. And, not my first customer call to them about different topics either.

Aside. I have owned the old Gaggia Syncrony for three years. It just died after making 4000 cups of espresso. Actually, it busted a water line. The dilema is finding someone competent enough to fix it without breaking the bank or buying the Gaggia Titanium.

However, I would definitely upgrade to the Gaggia Titanium if I cannot get my Syncrony repaired due to excellent experience we have had with Gaggia.

ALWAYS clean the frothing nozzle after each use! Highly recommend Gaggia.

I have used this coffee maker daily for 16 months. I would buy one tomorrow if this unit failed. I do not enjoy "Mr Coffee, coffee any longer". This unit is very easy to use but is more expensive to operate than I had first thought. The water filter needs changing every month along with a cleaning (with tablet), seems descaling happens every three months also. Filters are $13 + and descale is over $12 each time. Everything is based on the coffee cycles. That being said the coffee is excellent.

I have had one of these machines for about 3 years and have now just bought a second one. I keep one in my condo in Florida and one at my home in New Mexico. The coffee grinder in the NEW one seems to allow the whole coffee beans to drop down in the grinder with no "assistance" from me. I tend to have to push the beans in the "hopper" with my fingers, forcing them in the grinder on the first machine. I didn't mind this because the end product is so delicious. I have five adult children and when we get together that thing is humming all day long. It is not the size of appliance that you haul around just anywhere, but when I travel by car, I put it in a large laundry basket and take it everywhere I go! That's how the first Bosh machine ended up in Florida . . . I drove there and flew back! I can't find a thing wrong with these devices . . . neither one of them ever skips a beat.

I got this item yesterday, took it out of the box and assembled it. Filled the reservoir with water just below the "Max" mark and ran it once to rinse the unit before use. After that was done I left it sitting on the counter. Like a new pet it just peed all over the place! The water emptied somehow through the bottom of the machine! Guess what... I immediately packed it back up, got a RMA and the thing is on it's way back where it came from! I guess I got what I paid for... Too bad I can't give it 0 stars

I bought this about a month ago and would be happier with it except for two problems: Within a few seconds of turning on the switch and the coffee begins to pour, the filter holder releases for no reason. The handle of the filter loosens or turns from the "locked" position and it spits steam and coffee all over the place. I've tried everything...finer grind, tamping the coffee very firmly into the filter. And I make sure that the filter holder is cranked over as far as it will go. It doesn't seem to lock into place and that appears to be a design flaw. This problem doesn't happen all the time. Just about 50% of the time. It's always a great celebration when I get my coffee made without drama. I emailed Kaloric and have yet to receive a response. Also the frothing leaves a lot to be desired. It takes forever to get the milk heated and before it is heated it starts to make big, huge bubbles instead of the lovely froth one expects (and yes, I've tried everything from soy to no fat and low fat). And I know the proper way to froth the milk. I had no problem with the last machine I owned. There are some excellent videos on YouTube that show good techniques.

I solved the hot-coffee issue by filling my cup with water and giving it a good heat-up in the microwave just before making my espresso. I'm sure I won't hear from Kaloric. And I have carefully read their pathetic manual several times. I'm going to work with this machine a bit longer before I throw up my hands. It is a well built, nice looking machine; and if the filter holder would stay in place, I could live with the frothing issue and then maybe I'd like it as well as some of these other reviewers. If anyone has a solution for my problem of the filter releasing on its own, please let me know.

A colleague had ordered this and we both have nearly identical Jura automatic espresso machines. We both work from home, so I wanted something that would make my machine a little more automated.

I've purchased wine coolers and other machines which use the same type of induction technology, and I've been 'burned' by them all - breaking down early, not keeping the right temperature, etc.

I've had this device for six months now and I'm still just as pleased with it as the day I unboxed it. Milk is truly kept cold consistently and it's incredibly quiet.

Cons: If you're a Skim milk drinker, and you wait a couple days before using it, I've noticed that the milk can sometimes freeze up or develop ice crystals. I've been able to mitigate this by filling the outer tank with barely just enough water for it to reach the brim when the container is inside of it.

Also, the tube can be a hassle to clean. Sometimes the suction power pulls milk through and lets it sit there in the tube. You have to be conscientious to clean it thoroughly after each use or each day.

I consider myself lucky that I had 2-1/2 years of good service from this machine before the pump gave out. I contacted Breville to troubleshoot and they were quick to mention they make quality and superior products then they referred me to their out-of-warranty repair subcontractor. I called them - the folks in Nile, Ill. and they could not tell me anything other than to send it in for them to determine what it will take to repair it. All I could see was dollar signs and a high probability I would not be satisfied. I turned to Amazon to look for another espresso machine and I saw these reviews. I thank each of you for posting these as it confirmed my suspicions and prevented me from buying another Breville.

I have their coffee grinder too. From day one I knew this was poorly engineered. Try to fill up the container with grinds - enough for 4 shots. You can't. The small opening prevents that and soon the mountain of grinds grows to the point where it stops up the opening and stresses out the motor. I fixed that problem by breaking off the lid to the container. Now I have grinds that fly out all over the counter but at least I can fill up the container.

If I had a boat I would not need to buy an anchor!
