This is the worst Coffee Grinder on the market. When it grinds it creates static charge that sticks to the coffee grounds. The grounds attach themselves to the lid of the grinder, then when you scrape them out they STICK TO YOUR HAND, OR A COFFEE BRUSH OR YOUR SHIRT OR THE COUNTER. It's terrible! In the end you will be covered with coffee! DON'T BUY IT!

I bought this for my mother, and so far have been very happy with it. It is very quiet and we have no problems getting whatever grind we desire. However we do not make espresso at home so I am not sure whether this grinder would do a fine enough grind for espresso, but for mom's drip coffeemaker it does just fine. It is small though, and for a really big pot I have to grind two batches. Despite it's size it seems very sturdy and I was so suprised at how quiet it was compared to my own Capresso Cool Grind or my Cuisinart burr mill. Unlike the previous reviewer I have had no static problems. All the coffee mills I have tried have some sort of static "cling", but not enough to cause me any problems. All in all a very decent blade grinder for the price.

I am not coffee pro, just someone who was looking to try something different. This coffee grinder works really well for me. I was using it 4 or 5 times a day, every time I wanted to make a cup of coffee. Then I got smart and I fill an old glass peanut butter jar that I keep in the fridge. That way I only grind once a week and the coffee still tastes way better than store bought.

The grind is a little inconsistent and it's very difficult to clean, but otherwise no complaints yet. I hear they stop working after a year, but it's pretty cheap and it's working beautifully so far, so I'm happy.

The Freshroast features a glass chamber for a 3.5 oz. roast batch and a fast roast cycle. Ideal for a household of 1 to 2 coffee drinkers, it takes just 5-7 minutes to roast the green coffee beans with a 2 minute cool-down cycle. The Freshroast Plus has a mechanical timer and the chaff collector is simple yet effective. Because the roast chamber is smaller and the roast cycle is shorter than other home coffee roasting machines, it uses less energy to roast a batch of beans. Because of its basic design, this is the roaster that will outlast all the fancy, computer chip controlled machines out there. If you are a serious home coffee roaster, it is worth having one of these just in case your other roaster fails. Because of the mechanical timer and the fast roast time, this unit requires a little more attention to achieve your favorite roast. This is a simple matter of monitoring the bean color and aroma, then manually turning the machine to cool when the beans are perfect. This is a decent grinder, but don't think you are movin on up to the cadillac with this model. While it does a good job grinding coffee, the shroud type lid dumps grounds onto your counter and more importantly onto the two little switches on the side of the unit. You activate grinding by pressing down on the lid, that is until the switches fill up with tiny bits of ground coffee. I almost threw the grinder out until I realized what had happened.

Next time I think I will get a burr type with a hopper.
