I have purchased so many of these things and gave them to everyone I know. You don't have to worry about people heating water on the stove and forgeting about it. It has an automatic shut off. It really heats up in 3 minutes flat. It is instant. A must have for elderly who drink tea and coffee alot. Good for paties because your guests don't have to wait. I love it. So easy to care for and the price is good too.

This is the exact same model my husband and I owned in Japan (except the buttons are in English). We love it! We are big tea drinkers, and it's great to have hot water ready all the time. I like the size of the 2.3 quart model...it makes plenty of water for the 2 of us, even if we are making instant noodles, and yet it doesn't take up too much room on the counter. It takes about 15-20 minutes to heat up cold water, but with the 6 hour delay function, this is no problem. It only takes a minute or two to reheat already warm water. This water heater is extremely easy to use, and has many great and well-laid out functions. It is very comparable to the Zojirushi CD-LCC30 Micom 3.0-Liter Electric Dispensing Pot...it has similar features and reliability, but a good bit less expensive. We love this product and highly recommend it!!!

Worst Mr coffee Ice tea pot ever! 1 out of 5 stars.

I was born and Raised in North Carolina so i know Ice tea especially sweet Ice Tea! I do not drink coffee but I drink 4 gallons of sweet tea on a slow week, and I make it all in one day on the weekend so I have to do it as efficiently as possible! This pot works great to brew the tea easily but god help you if you try to pour it into a glass from the included pitcher! It runs all down the front of pitcher onto the floor, your dog, your feet, etc! Personally I have the older 3qt model with the round pitcher and it works great, but at my urging that newer must be better my mom and dad bought this newly designed model (They were making tea in a pot like grandma did it) Well between my mom, my dad, myself and my wife none of us can pour tea out of this thing without having to wipe down the pot, the counter and even the floor and your feet on occasion! Do not buy this triangular shaped 3qt Ice tea pot, instead buy the one with the round pot. It is also made by MR coffee, and it works quite well both brewing and pouring, no wet feet, no sticky counter and floor. I am willing to bet the engineer that designed this thing never even tried to pour a glass of tea out of it! It looks good, but lacks function. Like I said if you want fast easy ice tea get the Mr coffee 3qt model with the round pitcher and save a lot of hassle and mess! If you have to mop up the counter and floor it defeats the purpose of using a time-saving appliance!

The Chef's Choice Cordless Kettle looks good and works fine, heating water quickly. However, when pouring, it tends to drip, either from water droplets accumulated around the lid's edge or from the spout. A bit pricey, all things considered.

I absolutely LOVE this kettle! I purchased it over 2 years ago and have been using it daily ever since.

After reading an article in the newspaper on how much more energy efficient and quicker electric kettles are at boiling water than using a stove or microwave, I bought my first electric kettle and have not been disappoint at all!

I haven't had any problems with the spout leaking (a complaint by another reviewer) and I really like that it have an automatic shutoff (no worries about leaving and forgetting about it). It has a really nice feature of a clear plastic area along the handle side of the pot so you can see the water level. (I drew a line on it with a felt marker to show me exactly how much water to put in for one cup of tea - that way I can accurately fill and heat only exactly what I need.)

The kettle is metal and gets very hot (duh!) and will probably cause a severe burn if touched. This is no different the a kettle used on a stove and should be placed out of reach of small children.

I only use filtered water in it so I haven't had any problem with lime or hard water build up.

It is definitely worth every penny!!!

Dispense hot water for tea, instant coffee or soup with this electric dispensing pot. A simple digital display make it all so easy. Set it to boil, or keep warm temperature, or ask it to reboil. When the unit is filled to maximum capacity at room temperature and the water is approximately 68 degrees F, it will take approximately 22 minutes for the water to reach the boiling point.
