This food processor was a gift. I have used it consistently and it has performed its functions well. It is not particularly hard to clean and most of the parts go in the dishwasher. The saftey interlocks are easy to use. Although there are other cutting and shredding discs available I find that what comes with it is more than enough for almost all of the things I ever need. I would say it's only drawback is that while the processor itself takes up a small amount of counterspace I do not have a convient way to store the accessories.

I bought the same item once as a present for my brother's wedding.
I brought it to Japan and worked great! (Actually it costs more than $300 if you buy the same cuisinart model in Japan.....why? it is made in China anyway.....)
So I decided to buy one for myself. So far it is working perfect.

This is a super little chopper. Actually, the bowl is quite large for a chopper, which makes it better than the other "mini" choppers I've had. I don't really want a "mini," just something smaller and easier than the big food processor for somethings, and this totally fits the bill. Very user friendly and easy to clean. Two buttons for two speeds, the slower one chops coarser, the faster one minces and purees. Play with it to see how it works on different foods. I use it for pureeing baby food, chopping toddler food, and chopping veggetables for cooking. I really should get a second bowl and blade because they are always in the washer.

I bought this to replace a 20+ year old version of the same product. That chopper was still working just fine until my son dropped the bowl and broke it. The motor was in tiptop condition but obviously it's impossible to find a replacement bowl for something that's been around so long. I'm really thrilled with how long it worked, so I wanted to replace it with a similar product. This new chopper is amazing!!!! It's so quick and quiet. It's just wonderful. I doubt it'll last as long as the first one did -- products aren't made to last that long any more -- but I sure hope I'll have it for a very long time.

I bought this to replace a food mill that had been my grandmothers... function finally won out over sentimentality - and am I glad! My daughter and I make apple sauce almost weekly and this is so sturdy and easy to use that she can do the turning all by herself (she is almost 5). Easy to clean too!

I have had other choppers in the past, but this one only lasted TWO USES!!!!. I couldn't believe that a huge chunk of plastic flew off right in the middle of creaming my small piece of cream cheese.(you can't put anything in till you have it all cut into small pieces)
What a waste of time and money. I am hoping to get compensated or at least get a new bowl!!! I was very disappointed:(:(

THis was purchased to replace the older model 6 years old. I use it mostly for chopping nuts to making salad dressings, anything small to not have to take the big one out. I love the new features and it is stronger and faster. However When trying to shred cheese the processor was not strong enough to do it.

I love this machine. I use it a ton. The only things I really don't like about it is that when you're using the little 3 cup insert. It gets everything else dirty also. I wish that you could just have the 3 cup alone on the base instead of nesting it in the bigger cup. I don't even bother using it. Its also 2 things I have to wash. Also it has a ton of nooks and crannies that you have to get into with a brush to get it clean. Aside from all that, the machine works beautifully. The color is fabulous.

I'm very happy with my purchase so far. I haven't tested it a lot, but I love that all of the pieces are dishwasher safe, and that there are 2 sizes of bowls. I've only used it for basic chopping, and it's done a great job. Looking forward to using its other features.

The booklet included with the processor gives clear easy to understand instructions on assembly but it took me 2-3 times of use before I didn't have to refer the book. Assembly is a little more complicated than my old processor. It won't work unless all pieces are in the proper place (which is good). It shreds and slices beautifully. Very pleased with the performance, recommend this product. I have not yet used the mini-bowl but think it will be a handy feature for smaller portions.

I did a lot of research before buying this processor. When the first one came, the on switch didn't work. I called Amazon customer service to explain the problem. They shipped a new one right out. GREAT customer service. I really like the food processor, including the mini bowl. It's easy to use and works really well. I especially like the small shreds when using the grater blade.

Just the right size for a single person. Doesn't do garlic like the instruction manual said. Instead of slicing onion it purees it. Of course, I'm still a novice user. I really like this thing.

Advise different model food processor 3 out of 5 stars.

I thought that the extra wide mouth would be great but unfortunately it is a hindrance. You have to cut your vegetables down to size to use this. The food pusher must reach a certain point in the mouth opening to engage the chopper for safety reasons. That certain point is far enough down, to me anyway, that I have to cut the vegetables down for height. Liquids and particles can get into the handle due to design but it can be cleaned by forcing water and cleaner through it. When I shred cheese, the last portion of the block gets pulled onto the top of the shredding disk and I usually end up stopping and removing it. I was told that can be avoided to some degree by shredding quite cold cheese so don't take it out until you are ready. On a positive note, the motor is capable, it came with a lot of useful accessories including work bowls. I do wish I had opted for a different model where I can turn it on and start dropping the carrots or potatoes through without having to use the pusher to even get it started.

I just bought this blender and it's a great appliance that fits my needs. I don't want to bother with a giant full-sized blender and the cleanup afterwards and I only really want to make one cup for myself at a time. It's extremely easy to clean and works well. I was a little scared to crush ice the first time I used it because I didn't think it could handle the pressure but it blends just fine. Although, I would recommend pureeing soft and liquid ingredients first then adding the ice and other frozen items a little at a time rather than all at once and full on pressing down hoping it'll puree (frozen fruit tended to clump and freeze into a massive chunk at the bottom that didn't move). I've only had this product a week now and have made about 6 smoothies and am glad I made the purchase - no more blowing my wallet on going out for smoothies! However, after reading some of the lower rated reviews, I am weary of the 3 month marker this product seems to have on durability. But in the meantime, I am pleased and enjoy making my own smoothies!

My first food processor, and what an excellent choice it turned out to be! The size is great, if you are making a regular sized recipe (veggie burgers, salads, salsa, pesto, etc) from a cookbook or online recipe this hold everything, you don't have to do two batches. Looks great on the countertop, I got the black and chrome one.

Highly recommend this or another cuisinart.

I purchased this 14 cup several months ago and have been using it about every other day. Besides all the good reviews, I also decided to purchase this because of a friend's recommendation. My friend is an extremely gifted cook and I trust her opinion. I am amazed at how easy it is to use, take apart and wash. This cuisinart has also made normally daunting and difficult kitchen prep quick & easy. I now make a larger variety of dishes because they're so fast to do now. I am also extremely satisfied at how easily it slices, chops, and shreds. Doesn't seem to strain it for the things I use it for. I use this to chop up raw almonds into fine pieces for a healthier pesto and it works beatifully. I've also used it for doughs and batters. I've used this for far more things than I thought I would. Mine came with a dvd video that I found very useful & helpful. I've used a few other brands of food processors that this one simply outshined.
