This food chopper is simply the best designed, best manufactured kitchen appliance available for the home cook.
It is so good, in fact, that you need to be very careful when you first use it. It chops so well you may chop finer than you intended.
However, when you observe how it works, you will mourn all those wasted hours spent trying to chop vegetables just right for your recipe with dull knives and stupid hand choppers designed by people who never walked into a kitchen.
To chop up onions and peppers to simmer down for meatballs or a meat loaf, to make a salsa or relish just as smooth or chunky as you want, to "do that deed" with garlic cloves that we all hate to do but is so necessary, TO DO WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE.
This is the tool we have been waiting for.
And the ability to use a permanent bowl included or those plastic 1.5 cup bowls for sale everywhere (and that we have in our cupboard already!)... No need to stop and wash out the bowl as we are doing several jobs. Well, what could be handier?
This is the one!

The food processor works wonderful and does everything it is supposed to do. However, it isn't 'chrome' like the description says it is. There is an actual chrome version but it is not this model - it is the larger model. This one is just plastic, painted a gray color to look like chrome. A little disappointing.
False Warranty Statement on the Box 4 out of 5 stars.

The item of reference, Cuisinart DLC5BC works just fine but one strong fact which drove me to purchase is the Statement on the Product's Box which tells it has a "full ten year warranty on motor". I've asked Macy's Customer Service pertaining this, they then called Cuisinart and finally answered it would be a printing error on the box and then, while asking further, the efficient people at macy's Customer Service told that Cuisinart tells that if the food processor's cabinet is square it has a Five Year Motor Warranty (WHAT a COINCIDENCE !!!)I'VE JUST DISCOVERED AMERICA !!! ...cause the product's cabinet is square. I think this kind of excuse is as big as the hook behind the warranty stated in the box. I understand that 10 year warranty should be honored in writting & without delay.
