This is not a food mill, it is more like a cheap/clunky version of a mini-cuisinart. It will not puree (especially not smaller amounts) so it has not been useful for baby food... yet. I'll be able to use it when my baby graduates from purees to finely chopped foods. But frankly I'd prefer to have a good mini-cuisinart for that job and Lowe's sells them for less than 40$. So, all told, a waste of money for me, though it may work fine for those who want things chopped.

I bought this shortly after my little girl was born 2 years ago.
I wanted to start her on home made food and not food with preservatives. What I loved about this is how easy is to clean the procesor(specialy the blade). With a regular blender it's a chalenge to clean properly the blade and you have to unscrew the hole thing to get to the blade. It's small and you can only make small quantities of food at a time, but its perfect for your baby's first foods(banana's, carrots, sweet potatoes, sweet peas,...etc, and an easy and quick clean comes very handy when you have to clean it 3 to 4 times/day.
It takes a while to get use to it. I noticed someone else had complained about the cap being stuck, you just have to figure out how it works and not put pressure when you try to open. I wish they would design that different, but once you get the feeling of it you will have no problem. I use mine for more than a year every day 3-4 times/day, and after a year the motor stop working. I bought another one after that. I still highly recomend it, just because for that one year it work great and I got my money worth for it.

If you are a busy mom, and you need something easy to clean and use, then buy it with confidence, you will love it. I will also recomend " Jack La Lanne" power juicer for an easy to clean and use juicer.

I would recommend to buy a pwerful one with more watts. For veg slicing it's god buy not for some lot of chopping work. One time I also smell a burn smell which almost scared me coz it was like 2nd day of use. But after that I used it several times and didn't find the smell anymore. I would say add 20$ more and buy a "more powerful with more watt" one.

I bought this for my dad for Christmas after extensive reviews of many other products. We used it here once and I have been told that they use it all the time and leave it on the counter for convenience. Big enough, powerful motor and easy to use.

I bought this mostly for the french fry cutter. I'm very happy with how the french fries come out. My kids love the taste of fresh french fries. I've seen reviews on this before, commenting on how small the fries are. That is a problem with the size of the opening in the cover, but since that can't be controlled, I'm more than satisfied with the size of the fries. As far as the other discs, I'm still learning to use the food processor so I haven't used them much. They seem mostly to be thicker or thinner versions of slicers I already have, but I'm sure I'll see the need as I do more "processing." I just wish I had a nice case for all of these.

I purchased the set to add to my existing disks mostly because of julienne disk and to save the money (purchasing separately costs about $24.00 in average).I'm greatly disappointed with julienne disk which creates total mess. When I used it for zucchinis I thought well it's because it's too soft, but carrots were even messier. It looked worse than just simple grating. It wasn't uniform in size (some sort of little tiny sticks along with fine shredding) I was looking for long uniform matchsticks. I'm still looking for julienne device which would produce fine long pieces with minimal waste.Any suggesting greatly appreciated

This is an older, very basic Cuisinart model. I have owned this model for some years and just purchased the same model as a replacement. I did a lot of research, including checking out the new Cuisinart Elite line. I ultimately concluded that the Pro Custom best met my needs. The greatest feature is the additional, flat top. No other food processor out there seems to have one. If most of your processing is mixing or chopping, you don't need the large feed tube. The flat top takes up minimal room in the dishwasher and is a snap to clean by hand. In contrast, the Elite bowl(s) and lid took up most of the top shelf of my dishwasher, and even then it was a struggle to get them to fit. A number of reviews of that model also note that it is difficult to clean the gasket that seals the top, by hand or in the dishwasher. I returned the Elite and bought the ProCustom -- which, I might add, cost more than $100 less.

Recently I lost the blade to my Cuisinart Food Processor. I should say my husband lost the blade. He has a habit of emptying the dishwasher and putting things away where no one can find them. I cook often and use my food processor all the time. After going to a few speciality kitchen stores looking for a replacement blade, I decided to try Amazon. That should have been my first choice. Such awesome service, fast shipping, fair prices. I was thrilled when my new blade arrived. It works perfectly and I'm back in business. I love my food processor!

I bought this replacement blade knowing the part number I was looking for. It arrived fairly quick. Perfectly packaged. In perfect condition. As you might expect... it works fantastic (just like my original blade that has gone missing) The price was fair. I'm perfectly happy.

with this unit. We are putting our dog on an anti-cancer diet and need to chop lots of different things, this one was the right size and after reading reviews on all the big name brands we bought this one. Works great does all we need, just find the pulse knob slippery if you have wet hands, but this little beauty has all the power we could want.Would recommend to anyone.

I purchased this in the beginning of 2010 after reading several reviews of food processors. It's reasonably priced, and works perfectly. The reason for my purchase was a decision to attempt to start eating raw vegan in 2010. Research into that indicated I'd be making several recipes that require dicing vegetables and grinding nuts to powder. For the last 30 days I've ground almonds, walnuts, and sunflower seeds into a number of incredible dishes. The food processor has been easy to use and clean at every step. Safety features include not starting unless the lid is on and both the lid and bowl are locked, which will probably save my fingers some tired morning when I am preparing food half awake.

You may purchase this product worry free. Also, for those curious, eating raw vegan is pretty tasty, and the health benefits seem to be coming as promised. 3 PM? You're not tired! You're not even tired at 10 PM any longer. It's really increasing the productive hours in my day.

So, I bought this AGES ago, for when my cheap-o mini-chopper died. It lasted several more years, and still would be fine, except the heat of the dishwasher finally made the plastic bowl give out. Last night I pulled this out of the closet where it's been and used it today. I chopped ONE banana in it. Scooped that out, and tried to put avocado in, and...the motor whirrs and the blades sit in place. It is a total waste of your money. Find something else. I wish I'd bought two of the little ones from CVS when I got the one now sitting in my trashcan (and it was hardly perfect). After a single use, I'm looking all over Amazon for something else to replace this one, which worked a whopping 5 minutes.

This chopper is absolutely terrible. The blade is sharp and it chops most of the material OK, but it throws some of it up onto the sides and top of the chopping cup where it does not get chopped. The worst is that the top of the chopping cup is part of the motor. You can't put the motor in the dishwasher so you have to hand wipe it down. Therefore this chopper is NOT dishwasher safe. I tried it because it looks a bit like a small Moulinex chopper that I love. I brought the Moulinex chopper back from when I lived in France. The Moulinex works on 220 V power and I have a French power strip wired up but I wanted a US version I can use anywhere, so I tried this Cuisinart. The Moulinex has the motor on the bottom and a fully enclosed chopping cup so the motor never gets dirty, you just wash out the cup. When part of the material to be chopped is thrown up the sides of the Moulinex cup, you just shake it down. Because the Cuisinart has an awkward assembly with the weight of the motor on top and you can't see all the stuff stuck to the top, you can't just shake stuff down. I will probably throw this in the trash but some of Cuisinart's reputation will be going with it. Are you listening Cuisinart?

I purchased this food processor as a gift for my mother. When we gave it a try, the HI button didn't work at all, only the LOW button... annoying! So we returned it and got another and it had the exact same problem! We called Oster and they were kind enough to send us a new one for free. The HI button on this one worked but guess what?! The LOW button was broken on this one! What a joke! Avoid Oster!

CONS: The lid is difficult to twist and maneuver into place. There's a trick to it, but once you know the trick the lid goes on fine. Too bad the directions just say, "Twist lid into place," without further details.

High speed is uber-powerful and will make onion juice, instead of chopped onion, if not used properly.

The unit is smaller, so you have to chop your onion into 1" or so chunks to fit properly, which still leaves me crying. A whole onion will not fit in at once; only about 1/3 to 1/2 of an onion will fit in the chopper at a time. It's just too small for my needs, and I'm only cooking for two people.

PROS: Easy to clean. Quick to take out for little jobs. Small; easily fits in pantry shelf. Looks stylish.

OUTCOME: I would not recommend this unit to a friend.

I got this a few weeks ago and so far it works great. It has sliced and chopped everything from eggplants to potatoes. I like the continuous flow chute though the cup is generally large enough. Good buy for the price :)

I only gave this product a one, because a zero was not an option. This processor is difficult to put together and broke the first time I tried. The plastic bowl and chute are cheaply made and it shakes when it is used. I would not recommend this product to anyone. This is absolutely the worst kitchen gadget I own, bar none.

I received this as a gift, and the first time I used it the plastic piece on the container that switches the unit on broke off. I went to turn it to the on position, and it turned on then the switch piece broke off and the machine kept going. Had to unplug it, and meanwhile food all over the counter. I would NOT recommend this to anyone - spend a little more and get one that works!
