This product lives up to its' reputation. I use it as often as I can. The price beat the prices in this area by at least 40%. I would recommend this unit to any one. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Don't buy this! Mine just arrived and it is dirty and discolored. Gross! You would be better off at a garage sale than buying this nasty thing.

Bought this to make smoothies and margaritas and to have the benefit of food processing. Works great, although the motor stinks when you run it for a bit. Keep thinking that means something is going bad, but it hasn't died yet.

I owned one of the first HB Big Mouths ... it came time to get another ( I cracked the bowl ) This version is wonderful all the blades store inside , the chopping blade is lower and can chop smaller amounts . The power is amazing. The suction cups on the bottom hold it in place but don't require a weight lifting belt to get it free from the counter , like the first version did. I gave away my new KitchenAid in favor of this product , the KitchenAid was damaged in one light use. I have a large family 7 kids , 2 parents , 2 employees and this Big Mouth can handle what ever I through at it.

I highly recommend this product.

We liked this much better then the garbage black n decker cheap one we bought 2 years ago, but the plastic hub that holds the top slicer stripped in 3 weeks of use on this.

The motor is strong, but putting hard foods like carrots in puts wear and tear on that hub very quickly. One turned sideways and wedged itself in the cutting blade jamming the machine, and the plastic hub stripped.

If it was metal there wouldn't be an issue, but stripping in 3 weeks is obviously a design flaw.

I bought this to replace my old cuisinart. I decided to buy it because of its high ratings. I am an avid cook and use my food processor often. This product disappointed me because: 1. due to the multiple feed tubes, harder to clean, 2. when making graham cracker crumbs, the crumbs got between the lid and the bowl so that when I was finished and removed the lid, graham crackers spilled all over the counter, 3. The attachments to make the smaller bowl useable were not included with the product (making it unuseable until I buy the attachment).

For the price and reputation (I have a kitchenaid stand mixer and love it), I expected more and was disappointed.

No pesto no cleanup 2 out of 5 stars.

Very unhappy with this much touted processor You can't make a decent pesto sauce, neither the small blade for mini bowl, or normal multipurpose blade chops basil or small leaves well..For pesto you need a different appliance or mortar and pestle, not this behemoth. Worse, it is impossible to clean the multipurpose blade inside the shaft. When you make a paste or forcemeat it sticks like crazy glue to the plastic and no amount of soaking, heavy duty cycles in the dishwasher or wishful thinking can get the gunk out of the blade. Other foods stick to the plastic bowl - very difficult to clean, even after two runs in a good dishwasher. Kitchen Aid customer service couldn't offer any advice. Totally useless to call them. They are of absolutely no help.
This appliance is very heavy, don't count on taking it out each time. It has to have a dedicated spot on the counter. Doesn't come with fine slicing or shredding blade. Pulse action works well. Next time I'll go back to the more reliable and user-friendly Cuisinart.

I ordered a Bosch Shredder Slicer Attachment - 12cup metal
And they sent the Bosch Food Processor Attachment - 5cup plastic
So I re-checked my order, indeed the link on Amazon was to the Shredder Slicer. - It is a gift for my daughter in law's birthday - would be late if I tried to replace - so I did not deal with the hassle of replacement. But they need to be more careful with their orders.
