I just bought three cuisinart dlc-5 food processors: first one for myself and then later two as gifts. I wanted more flexibility in the range of foods I could process; and as a result click on the Amazon accessory link for a 3mm slicing disc. This disk did not fit my food process.

I returned it, but Amazon was asking me to pay the return freight, as it was "my fault". I disagreed, and am awaiting the final outcome.

Not withstanding the outcome, I looked closer at the other links in order to buy more disks, and I see some of the other accessory links are not much better. April 2004

I gave my 7 cup Cuisinart that I had for over 10 years to my daughter and just bought a new one. The name itself is an excellent quality and speaks for itself. I am anxious to purchase this discs to add to my others. I highly recommed this because of the good quality made and the many uses you can get at it.

After the ice cream maker's chilling chamber has been in the freezer for about 18 hours, the liquid in its walls will have frozen thoroughly. Put the paddle in the chamber, lock the transparent cover in place, and turn on the kitchen machine. It's that easy. Add extra ingredients through the opening in the cover as the paddle turns -- Chocolate chips, chopped fruit, nuts, and other special ingredients can be added toward the end. The chamber chills ingredients to whatever consistency is desired. Dense treats are harder to make because the paddle churns in air. Storing the chamber in the freezer consistently ensures a frozen confection is only 20 to 30 minutes away. Clad in virtually unbreakable plastic, the ice-cream maker is dishwasher-safe except for the chilling chamber. A plastic spatula for scraping the chamber, a wood cone for mixing ingredients, and an instruction booklet with recipes are included. Well, I first ordered a cheap ... 250Watt meat grinder from Harbor Freight. It had a plastic worm gear, didn't work well at all, so it sits on my shelf. Then I got a hand operated meat grinder, and that turned out to be quite a lot of work. I like to grind my own burger and was still looking for a good meat grinder. I did own the Bosch mixer and noticed they made a meat grinder attachment (I bought the mixer after I bought my first two grinders). I have the 450 watt mixer. I figured I would try the meat grinder. I got the grinder and it was all metal, except for the tray on top and the push tube. Well, I diced my meat and got ready to grind some burger (I just don't trust supermarket stuff - too many recalls!). WOW! was I impressed -- this thing grinds like a demon! perfect hamburger. And, it ground up the meat as quickly as I could get it down the tube too...this is the one that I will keep and use for my burger grinding. The other two grinders that I own are going to go to Goodwill as a donation. Money well spent...
