Microwave Popcorn Categories:
OK, so who needs a recipe for microwave popcorn?! Well, I have a couple techniques to minimize the number of unpopped kernels (old maids) in your bag of popcorn. First, turn on your kitchen faucet and quickly swipe the bag under the faucet to get the outside a little wet. The extra moisture helps keep the popcorn from burning and lets you leave the bag in the microwave a little bit longer. Second, throw the bag in the back of the microwave instead of putting it in the center. Just let it fumble around a bit on the edge of the turntable while it pops. Not sure why this works, but it gets more kernels to pop. |
